Bad.......Very Bad.....I Am WOndering What Will Happening When These Small MINI Dabbay Sold Here nowadays As "RECANDETUN " for like 8-9 Lac have Tiny MINY CVT's......! what will happen of them once they mess up.......Kabaria Or What.....They Are Quiet Small....With Tiny MINY Engine And Tranny....Feel Sorry For Those CUte Cars when our people abuse them quiet bad

I think this the 3rd thread in one day that people are challenging xulfiqar. but everyone knows CVT are delicate n not repairable. for how many kms they can go really depends upon the conditions. today I saw a person bring is prius to an electrician ustad n when the bonnet was opened n ustad was just shivering, ECU had some fault in the wiring n needed to unhook from the battery n again hooked up after 10 minutes to start . same is with CVT n JDM yateems when these will have 100k plus millage, who will cure them. specially CVT n electrics

I killed mine racing at 160kph for an hour. Bought tranny number 2 and it died again. Now shopping for tranny 3 with high intentions of a conversion to manual if I could handle the electrical work required

now I would suggest you lookup nissan cvt failures, dealerships in USA are changing atleast 10 cars week under warranty repair - and nissan has extended some models warranties to 120,000 miles (which is 192,000 kms) - and yes they have replaced transmissions more than once on the same car.

e.g. mine. had 2 transmission replacements by 60,000 miles before it got totalled last year.

By why manufacturers are still giving cvt? Like, are they still getting profit even with a failure?
Or they will be soon give it up?

manufacturers are rolling in money on this.

more failure means more repairs which equals more money, all this is completely perfect today as customers are not at all interested in a long lasting car.

in my case it was manufacturer warranty, but for the people who are not in its envelope are on the hook. Its pretty bad for them. But those same customers go "ooooh - shape dekho, leather seat dekho"

and manufacturing a cvt is extremely cheap compared to a stepshift gearbox.

I broke 3 already (hard foot). doesn't matter how frequent you service your CVT rightly, you are going to kill it by high speed high rpm drive habbits. Is not a mature gearbox

You are right. I sold my axio because of cvt problems. Not recommended for hilly areas. Its ok for cities.
