AZAD KASHMIR visit from Karachi. (19 JUNE TO 30 JUNE)

There is border fencing on top of nearby mountain, during night as its well lit so clearly visible, there r few bridges as shown in one of foto controlled by armies.
As situation here is quite peaceful so not many army presence is seen. Our army seen visible at every area few km away from border they checked and documented every tourist

It must be a wonderful experience to roam around these areas. I love that houses in Kashmir, so colorful and attractive and I wonder how much they cost. Wish I am rich enough to buy some house over there ... dreams O dreams

We stayed 2 days in Dao khan up to 28 June, also traveled around, its very peaceful valley, not much public, very peaceful l, villages r scattered in hilly areas, so wonderful to be here.
one private guest house is also there in Dao khan. Our guest house is located adjacent to army facility, so one should have nic and get registered before entering here or leepa.
Leepa valley is around 2.5 to 3 hrs away, road is under construction here after few km from Dao khan so only accessible through jeep, jeep charges around 5k, but I'm sure after few months road will be completed and will be accessible thru any vehicle.

We are planning trip "Isb-Muzaffarabad-Kel and back in first week of August.
Someone told me the total travelling time between Muzaffarabad and Kel is 5-6 hours. Is that correct?
Besides tell me about significant spots to stop over during drive to Kel.

You did amazing tour. I have covered all the northern areas of Pakistan except Kashmir only. INSHALLAH looking forward to make a trip to Kashmir as well.

i thinks its more than 6 hrs to kel, around 4hrs till keran, after that road is not in good condition. Also depand on ur vehicle and driving style, and how much u stay in between, without rest its difficult to cover so much distance

stop over will be at dhani waterfall on the way, then Keran, and upper neelum (upper neelum is off the road) , then We also stop at sharda, we stop for few water nalas for sight seeing and tea with snacks.

If u r travelling in August no need advance booking in arang kel, Lot of guest houses in Arang kel, also summer vacation is over,

Thanks a lot for your comprehensive reply. I will be taking my Honda HR-V, its same as vezel but non hybrid, ground clearance is 185mm. I hope this vehicle is good enough till Kel. So with stop overs the travelling time should not be more than 7-8 hours.
The only thing I am worried is the rains and resulting flooding. Any idea if rains can result in blockage of roads. My trip is from 3 to 6 August 19

I dont think normal rains can create dangerous flooding. Its hilly area and almost every day we experience rains here. But heavy rains can be dangerious. So be cautious and get weather forcast before u go

AJK Tourism keran resort is best located in KERAN along river, or u can stay at upper neelum. I got there phone nos. 05821920106 for Keran/Neelum, and 05822-921317 for Muzzafarabad booking office .Their resort in upper neelum is also at very good location.

Try advance booking, we dont get booking in june as all is advance booked at that time

Yes normal rains do create heavy floods in mountain areas.. sometimes a lightning causes glaciers to burst,sometimes the rain is not too heavy below but on the tops its too heavy to cause big floods...experienced this many times in GB most recently in astore this june
