RAWALPINDI: Vice Principal of Riphah International University, Brig Sanaullah, was shot dead by a disgruntled student, Khurrum Shahzad, at the campus on Peshawar Road on Tuesday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Shahbaz Khan told APP that the student allegedly responsible for the shooting had been arrested. He said that according to initial investigation, the student was upset over failing examinations for three years. He exchanged heated words with his professor, Dr Muhammad Ayaz, and then opened fire on him. However, the professor fortunately received no injuries. He then went to the room of the vice principal and shot at him, killing him instantaneously. Khurram Shahzad managed to escape but was later arrested by the police.
