another 2.5-3 hrs trek form Kukhill takes one to Gucheshum whichis a last settlement on the Batura valley trek.... here there a 4-5 huts which are rarely used i suppose as their condition was bad with mud falling on us all night from the not maintained roof ......... well the trek is similar to the previous portion with clearer views all around... the only significant thing in the trek is that a few kms before Gucheshum there is a nala on the right called warthom valley where there is a trekable pass that contects batura valley to Chipursun valley. (a friend on mine has done that pass trek also with same porter)..... there is also a lake there acording to our guide which is small but crystal clear and its soerce is unknown.....
we reached Gucheshum at abt 4-4.15 pm and ominous clouds were gathering in the valley starting form farther form Gucheshum... according to Amanullah the word Guchesum is derived form Gul-e-Chasm which u all are aware of i guess....
anyhow there is a cold water crossing also on the way so one needs to takeof his/her shoes and step in the cold shallows....
by the looks of it we were the first to come here this season coz the locals wrnt even there yet....... we just selected one Hut for ourselves and adjusted our luggage and put our sleeping bags down .... it had been a exertion filled day........
the drinikng water for this site is a little far from the huts and one has to walk abt 5 mins to get there so one shud store alot of water beforehand.......
