nicely done bro..1... how did he get this car customed. 2..being a cat d don't make it a bad car if its reflected in the price..why would you go through all the hassle of buying exporting it paying customs total nightmare..and then put it up for sale..this car is the most used in mini cab private hire taxi..

just to add, About a week back leaving my office i saw a crushed Prius on a Mazda, im talking about the main estate avenue road SITE karachi, Where i daily see fresh cars, Kisi ka bonet nae hota, kissi ki diggi nae hoti... most cars are being towed by another car both fresh cleared cars.

Altho some clean cars also seen,

Coming back to the prius, To me that car also seemed fresh clear, I could see the roof crushed, an extra roof near the boot area, Blown airbags, Dead low (cooked suspension) or bursted tires/Wheels, Since the mazda was only see thru till the door handles,

you are right, this car may not be worth all the hassle! but look at this scenario, Ideally assuming 1. driven mini cab for few years with 100 or 200K miles, cant get a good value from resale market in UK, 2, get this done with staged accident, got the insurance money and buy back car with cAT D and then export it as car, Customs stupidly allowed accident cars, sell it as UK import avensis!!!

so major cost here is only custom duty at Pakistan port even if buyer bought a CAT D car! point to ponder here if it was revealed in the add here, perfectly fine if some one selling without concealing miles and history!

Just a thought. Why does the government allow import of damaged vehicles in the first place? If its for spare parts, the cars should be cut in half. In fact why allow import of used cars in the first place? Instead duties on brand new imports should be reduced and used vehicles strictly banned.
