There are so many places to visit but with families it is just impossible so i think it will be very good as we pakwheelers are known each oither & can enjoy in a group.

Beautiful pics of a beautiful place!.Wish Pak was easily accessible to all and we could experience it's finer places.My wife is having a hard time getting a visa to Pak.They're just delaying the issuance not denying.Hopefully by this week we should know and then we can start planning our trip!...Millions of tourists(more than 8 mil last year) visit India and spend millions of dollars and support the economies of many families!....why can't the same vision exist in Pak?....these links you will find interesting info on India...

Sadly, it is the same story on both the side. It is very hard for a Pakistani passport holder to get an Indian visa, and I understand same is the story on the other side. Interestingly we (people) get along very well, but seems politicians and policy makers while sitting in their office think differently. Anyway hope your wife gets the visa soon.

As for tourism in Pakistan, we have to go a long way. Tourism industry is a big thing and we have to learn a lot. I have lived most of my life in China, and have seen how they have progressed over the past few decades. And yes in that tourism did play a very important. The Chinese have invested a lot in that and they have really developed it well.

1.The cont number of Hotels thr in Swat ,i want to confirm the rates coz we are 50 students and i also wana confirm how much ll be thr price of foods so we can have the idea of it plz do help me.

Oh I thought (reading your email yesterday) that you people have decided to go to Naran because of the hostel there. Now how come once again you are going to Swat? And also keep one thing in mind Swat is the name of valley. Mingora/Saidu Sharif (twin cities) are sort of its capital town. And Kalam is another place which is about 4 hours drive from Saidu Sharif.

Anyways, well brother for sure hotels in Swat will be alot expensive. And I guess they wont allow more that 3-4 person in a room (2 bed + 2 mattress).

No idea about camping in that area.

Talking about food. I guess that you have to manage yourself. (Because when I travel here in Pakistan, I only stick to chicken khari as I feel this is the safest thing to eat while traveling, I dont even take fresh salads.)

yes u r ryt we were focusd on NARAN side but now the administration of youth hostel had said that condition of hostel in NARAN is just like a disaster.they said we need 2 munths for the repairment work for the hostel so thats why i asked u for swat coz we are group of almost 60stud so we want cheap accomdation so every body should be thr rest i ll call u to get contact number of hotels in Swat.

oh acha. yaar to be honest am not too sure about if you can find a hotel within your budget (as mentioned in your email). In Mingora the hotel I have stayed
1 Swat Regency Hotel (Rs. 1200/- discounted rate for double bed room)
2 Rock City (Rs 2500/- discounted rate for double bed room)

In Kalam
PTDC is for Rs. 2200/-
And the hotel I stay was Sangam Hotel, hotel was good enough rooms were clean, and they changed me Rs. 800/- (discounted rate for double bed).
But I am sure you can even get much cheaper hotel in Kalam, because till last week there were very few visitors there.

I just wanted to know about the road situation and Glaciers between Bahrain and Kalam,because I went in March and I could not cross the last glacier near Kalam. What about now a days.

I have once went there and got only one pic after that due to heavy rain I could not get more pictures. and I fell in the River Swat which make my camera out of order. if you have any pic of Kandol please upload here.

Kandol Lake is one of the lake which is in undisturbed state because of difficult but beautiful trek of 2:30 hours.It can be reached from Ushu Valley or Kalam with a local guide.And you will witness such sceneries in the world which you cannot find anywhere in the world.Believe me for this.
