But I must say, was really sad to see the condition of PTDC Motel there, I mean in Malam Jabba.

sir we went in a group of 80 and there were 3 groups in total....one scheduled after the other n i cud only see 2-3 families. well it was maintained pretty well for ur because LUMS adventure society officially keeps the trip every winter and they must maintain their place n service in order to attract us every coming year.

i agree that the motel condition has deteriorated over the yrs n they r not doing well to maintain that but u must agree that it wud have been awsome when it was new that is in 98

@ talhamehmood85! Well no doubts that it must have been beautiful when it was build. but seems nobody looked at it later. I went to Malam Jabba from Kalam, thinking that I will be staying overnight there, but the building really put me off and i decided to stay that night in Mingora.

(I am talking about the structure, the washroom of the main lobby and the smell of the carpets, and not sure about the rooms altough the service looked ok)

Kalam: Swat river, the famous Jungle (Pine Forest) and at the back one can see mountains of Ushu.

The remains of a glacier which blocked for many days the one and the only road to Kalam, few months back

I have been to Swat and Malam Jabba in a Toyo Hiace. Car was ok, but the scenery was just magnificent. Allahu Akbar!

So, your pics were excellent partly because of the existent beauty, your phototaking skills and the weather. But I wanna see a pic of ur Mehran climbing up a 10 degree angle. Wow!

Ok- very nice to see, better than all those Beemers and Mercs whom we claim" treats for our eyes". this is more like it, dont u agree?

One thing I dont' understand... why do ppl under-estimate Mehran? Back in 1992 wen I made my first trip to Swat, Suzuki FX's and Mehrans were all over the place.

They went straaight up on the local jeep's tails. These machines have good power-to-weight ratios and have nice low-end torque as well.

The leaf-spring suspension gives them good sturdy suspension for offroading.

Swat is beautiful to the extent that West called it "The Swiss Alps of Asia" .... we should be proud!

WOW!.If only the Pak Govt. invested in infrastructure and access was easy , people of many countries will be able to witness this really beautiful region in person!....
