Benelli TNT 25 Tornado - Owner review (will be constantly updated, hopefully)

Hopefully, it is a minor issue. Yesterday, it was stuck in the 1st gear for a long time and wouldn't go into neutral or 2nd. That is when i contacted the dealership and they asked me to drop the bike for inspection. It is under warranty so i'm a bit relaxed, let's see what the dealership has to say.

So whats the update? It seems the issue wasnt as small as we all hoped for it to be.

I bought YBR G few days back and it was doing same ,after clutch adjustment by mechanic all OK now.
If there is problem with gear u couldn't touch 110 with 7 k RPM
did u experience any smell coming from transmission

Nope, no smell. Didn't really check on it though. Will be going to the dealership tomorrow to check the bike.

Tested the bike but condition seems to be progressively worse
Got stuck in 1st and then in 2nd gear. They're going to drain the oil and check and gears and levers tomorrow. Hopefully, this will be covered in the warranty.

Got the bike back today. Nothing major, just adjusted the clutch and lowered the gear pedal. Got stuck once but cleared out quickly as compared to the previous few times. Maybe gears need to set in for a bit. Will drive for longer runs tomorrow to check it out.
Got the first oil change done today at 350km. The oil was really dirty with signs of engine being set in. Saw some mettalic parts. After the oil change, the vibrations have reduced and running has become smoother. Used 10w-40 liqui moly, semi synthetic.

A new foreign assembled bike making issues thats a big no.I made a wise decision to revert back to YBR 125 from Wego 150.YBR also did make these problems but the issue was resolved by clutch adjustment.

Out of the 20+ pieces sold across Pakistan, none has lodged any complaint of any sorts. Benelli has a 100 year history of bike manufacturing and I dont think it is fair to base an opinion on an issue being faced by just 1 bike alone. Furthermore, ive been very happy and impressed by the Benelli staff and dealership who have been constantly looking into the matter without any charge.

Actually you are the first one on Pakwheels who bought this bike and faced the issue. So naturally people will judge on whats in front of them but you are right faults can occur even in the best machines. In the end if you are satisfied than thats what matters.
By the way how is the ride now, specially the gear shifting?

It is really a good bike in the price, my issue is just unique and im sure it will be resolved.
As mentioned earlier, ride is smoother and vibrations have toned down about approx. 50%. Gear issue occured once on the way back but got unstuck after a short to and fro.

Something in the back of my mind tells me that there is something wrong with the gear cogs.

Have faced similar degenerating issue with couple of bikes. After engine disassembly gear cogs were chewed at few spots.

In your case the metallic parts may be the chewed up parts and improper gear cogs meshing against each other may exacerbate the issue very soon.

Yes and no.

Depends if a dog is broken from a gear or if dogs are meshed up.

Ask for proper checkup it it still persists.

Yeah, sorry for being away, was busy in office. Picked the bike yesterdaty. Don't know what they did but now gear shifting is smoother. Issue didn't pop up again. Will test it out a bit more today.

Dont have any heavy bikes but i like motorcycles so know a few who have it and that helped me with the comparison.

In simple terms, monoshock is under your butt so it is less bumpy. Dual shocks are on the sides, so the impact is more. Monoshock absorbs the impact alot more than standard dual ones creating a comfortable ride. Further, in dual shocks, one shock can compress more than the other creating an uncomfortable ride, whereas that is eliminated with monoshocks.

Im not an expert, so hopefully someone experienced can comment on it.

I think buraq autos maybe coming up with a 0% interest installment plan. It would be a welcome step for the public and will help them sell more units.
