I am unable to find -Mitsubishi Heavy Duty splits AC- in shops. Mostly Mitsubishi Mr Slim are available. Have tried Metro but no luck. Will check Hyperstar.

Anyone knew of any place in lahore from where they are availabe and is a reliable place to buy from. Pls share.

i dont think you will find it in hyperstar visited it a week back, it wasnt there. You will find it in Abid Market Jail Road

i heard split a/c can cause low oxygen level in a room, if the room remains closed for prolonged period (oxygen being consumed by human body) as it doesnt takes fresh air from outside? TRUE / FALSE?

After some heavy duty electricity bills im switching to smaller splits and they are working fine.

takes around 30 minutes to bring a 33 - 34 degree 200 square feet room to 29 - 30 degrees, burns more or less 1/2 a unit / hour so 1 can keep it on all the time, has a Mitsubishi compressor, lets see how long it can last, comes with 3 year warranty.

@nonoo, cooling is about that of a 1 ton unit, it is locally assembled, parts are all Thailund, i paid 19,500.00 for the 0.8 ton a month back, others were 1.0 and 1.5 tons, which were useless for me @ 1800 watts and 1300 watts as i have those already and the electricity bills with them have crossed the limits

After about a month of usage im happy with it, may replace other ACs with these ones.

You could have used your current branded ACs on higher temperatures like 26 28, it cools down your room anyway.

Any suggestion if i go for used dawlance 1.5 ton split. Wat r the things should consider if someone looking for used split from auction houses or so?

It is branded, this is a less troublesome brand than LG, it is a new brand so they have made these units quite heavy (heavier than Haier and LG in weight).
About using the old ACs, 1.5 ton split sucks 1800 watts and 1.5 ton Window sucks 2400 watts, electricity bill every month = 12 to 15k :S

I ll be buying 2 more units in the coming days, still want to test this one for reliability.

Did you try them on higher temperatures? one more thing is that where the ACs are placed. If they are placed in a room with leakages and door opens many times then AC will have to work hard to maintain the temperature.

finally i made my mind to buy orient or dawlance 1.5 Ton for my 12 x 12 room which is direct under sunlight. But today a guy told me that dawlance performance isn't good as compare to its old time models. What u guy suggest as i'm willing to buy in 4 or 5 days.

1.5 ton for a 12x12 room is insane unless your roof is at 14 feet OR electricity bill is none of your concern
