On Monday I installed AC Delco dry battery in my Xli. This is my first dry battery. Its code is NS60L and I paid 6000 PKR (old battery adjusted). The actual amperes are 45, unlike Pakistani batteries where actual ampere is lesser than printed.
Actually I was planning to try Volta maintenance free battery (46 number, definitely not ampere) and it was not available only 42# was available and it was costing me 3,500 rs after giving my old battery for 1000 rs.
Then this AC Delco 42# was for 5000 rs and 60# was for 6000 rs. The guy said that they install 42 in Xli and when I came home I read the stickers which put the amperes at around 35-38 (don't remember exactly). I noticed that when I switched on parking lights, AC button light became dim, also AC blower worked slower and faster with the accelerator and it was a clear sign that alternator was working over time and battery was not providing required amperes.
After a few hours I went back to the shop and ask him to replace it with NS60L which is 45 ampere. I think that if you have amp-woofer installed, replace your battery with at least 45-55 amperes and do not be deceived by the model numbers, they look like amperes, but actual amperes on Ac Delco are printed on the sticker.
I do not know whether 6000 rs are justified on a battery, while the normal battery for 3,500 would do the same job, but you have to monitor and add water periodically.
