AGS if you found original one..i m using ups since 5 years.. some time back exide was good. .but they lost their repu now heard they are back...!

i am using OSAKA for our UPS and it's working pretty good. using 2 batteries for one UPS

If u need long life battery & perfect backup, I recommend dry batteries (I am also using 200amp X2 batteries last two years), u can also buy aurora or any other brand available in market, visit makro or metro stores).

Osaka is the worst brand out there........ AGS is much better but would need to be maintained properly is more then an year of service is required out of it......

I am using Phoenix 200A battery for my UPS.Its working good.I purchased it before two years.Still its working fine.
The best battery i have heard from my frnds is AGS.It mostly lasts for nmore than two years if proper maintenance is done.
The most important thing is ur UPS.If a good kit is not installed in ur UPS it can cause batteries to finish early.
China UPS of Homage company is the best UPS.Try to gt that instead of Local made UPS.

hello all,

looking to change batteries for my UPS, im trying to find some imported brand like some US or Koeran made. Are those available in Lahore? If not, then whats the best local brand to go with? For last 2 years ive been using OSAKA IT 1000 and they only last for 7-8 months at most.

Please suggest a brand and also provide that why is that brand any better then OSAKA, will make it easier for me to decide.

The usual trend prevalent in market regarding UPS offer is like, 2 Energy Savors and 2 Fans (May be 0.5 KVA UPS required) and list goes on and on in combinations of energy savors and fans.

Thank you for the sensible advice. Distilled water obtained from condensation outflow pipes on air conditioners is quite good. Millat also uses thicker and fewer lead plates for UPS batteries which alongwith the debris traps extends their usable life. It is wise never to let a battery discharge completely and not to let it overcharge either. Good UPS systems regulate charging rates from fast when the battery is low to a trickle when it is nearing full charge. Where can one buy Pyro Battery Electrolyte 12:50, is it easily obtainable?

Theoretically Dry Cell should be better but in my experience they are too pricey. Some years ago I bought two expensive imported dry batteries (not gel) one of which went kaput, the warranty was not honoured. I have since used local flooded batteries (Osaka) but insist on distilled water being used particularly when the initial charging mixture is put in.
