what about shahbaz tikka house (STH)? . I always considered it to be the the most famous and believe me a couple of time while travelling from lhr to rwp we left motorway went to STH on bypass and after having meal again went back to travel on motor way.

BTW i never tried Ghanni and/or bhatti, do give its location also

I prefer BBQ over most of other Pak foods, Rwp may not be in competition with Gujranwala and Lhr but you can get good tasty service if you:

-Select one place and stick to it
-Give good tip to waiter so he remembers you next time
-Go and appreciate the cook and next time ask him to make a special BBQ for you

You won't believe but for the last so many years i've been going to one small restaurant in front of ceros cinema. Now everyone there recognizes me (though i'm not a frequent visitor) and whenever we have guests with us, their first remark is "we never new this restaurant was so good"

Just an advice

Always give good tips to waiters, these are low paid workers trying to make an honest living unlike the beggers on every corner. At some restaurants waiter get paid so less that you won't believe it because the owners think that earning from tips is what they have been employed for

Shehbaz's mutton ribs r really good( main mutton khata ni but wahan or Ghani se kha leta hn
Restaurant is not much comfortable for families in my opinion

Ghani Siri Paye>> Main G T Road near Dastgir Petrol Pump in Gujranwala city, Timings = after Fajr till 8 PM Maximum... but Ghani also open for Lunch.. Chotay Gosht Ki Machli ( Mutton Machli)
Bhatti Resturent>> Main Rail Bazar... open only in Lunch time Probably 10am to 4-5pm... Famous dish is "Mutton Tikka" (not available in Tuesday n Wednesday as u know mutton not available in these two days)

Corner food's Cholay Chawal with chicken piece is awesome
Savour College road is best from all other outlets

Ladoo Khatai walay (Kohati Bazar)
Chunno Food's Alloo and Shami tikian (Bani chowk)
Nihari in mroning, go early as it gets finish around 8 in Sabzi Mandi
Fried Cholaay (opposit Sirsyed Pulic school)

Halwa Puri from Gujrawala sweets in Kartaar pura, Asghar mall is best,

Refreshment Center is getting worst everyday they have rude staff and pathetic service.

Lahori Samosay (opposite Savour college road)

Babmoo fast food chandni chowk is also good, and fair price

beware: Mamoo burgers sucks... expect motions after eating
