specifically what kind of 5w30?
regular mineral 5w30? - how about trying to crank it at those temperatures?
Amsoil 5w30 signature series 100% synthetic.
Never cranked it as it starts quickly. Should I try do that at cold startups? Will try in morning as I'll leave from work at like 5am. It would be chilly AF coz it rained a lot yesterday.
Ok cranked it an hour ago, gave 2 cranks and waiting a second in between before startup. Same! no rattle or tick tocks, but engine noise is more. Maybe its due to thinner oil producing more torque at low revs. I may be wrong here. Only thing good I noticed in 5w30 is that car is more torquey on low rpms like 1-2k: coz that's where it stays most of the time with cvt.
And now you know why thinner oils are recommended, the engine remains very efficient and has low drag loss at low rpm.
Picks up quicker.
Sir which engineoil will be best for hybrid fielder 2013 160000km driven. is total 5w-30 ok?
Yes. Total Quartz 9000 Future Series 5w-30 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil would I.A. serve the purpose well (provided engine health is perfect).
I have passo 05/14 originally 145 k km driven... not knowing till now was pouring shell ka yellow dabba... now seeking your guidance... which oil grde should I shift and company too??

Shell PEELA DABA means 10w40. What about engine noise and fuel average you are getting in?
Shell Yellow HX-5 as 5w-30 for 1KR-FE
This is good stuff...
HX5 is 10 -40 in Pakistan

Hello Car Enthusiasts,I have a question regarding the oil change in my Passo 2013I recently changed my oil from Shell Helix 10w-40 to 5w30, will this hurt the engline of my car in anyway? Thanks in advance@Xulfiqar @uzeemujeeb
What about in summers where temperatures easily reach 40+ C. Can 5w30 handle the heat?
Of course YES! Summers Vs Winters are old myths which do not work now in new, modern engines.
Now In US, Toyota is even recommending 0w-16 in some of their newer engines for round the year use.
I am using 0W-20 till now.... car came at 13000kms and now clocking 33000kms...
For the civic?
