The best one for Hot temperatures is Toyota Tanglon 5W50 if your does not decrease the oil level
In cold temperatures the best one is Honda Genuine Oil 5w30
Both are fully synthetic and cost around 3500-3800

After doing ton of researchon internet and experimenting with my own honda city 1.3 2013 i recommend to use. 5w 40 before i was using 5w30 honda oil and at the time of oil change i was observing that oil was dirty i switched to 5w 40 havoline caltex now i change oil at 6500 and fuel consumption has increased by atleast 3km per lit. If you are brand conscious use liqui moli. Thanks

a black oil at the time of oil change should does not mean that the oil doesnt suit your car. an oil turning black means that the oil is cleaning the internals of the engine. and switching to 5w40 wont solve your problem of blackening of oil. one shifts to a thicker oil if he/she witnesses a drop in oil level within the oil change interval. a 5w40 will deteriorate your fuel economy

would agree with the oil consumption part. but the age of the car doesn't matter. I have a civic 2005 with 162,000 kms on odo. I feed it with shell helix ultra 0w20 fully synthetic because 0w20 is mentioned in its owner's manual too. If i do notice a drop in the oil level, then I will consider shifting to 0w30 or 5w30.

One should consult the owner's manual first to see the compatible oil viscosities.

20w50 is a suicide recipe for Honda Engines regardless of the high-mileage. New Honda engines perfectly operate on SN 0w20 and if you are too worried about viscosity and you have older model of honda, a fully synthetic 5w30 is best choice from 1 km to 250K Kms for Honda engines. if properly maintained.

I am using 0w20 in city 1.5 and fully satisfied. My odo is 20k and my car is giving 12-13 per liter in Faisalabad city. Most of my drive is in stop and go traffic. Also i feel the vehicle is less noisy when on 0w20. Before this i used 5w30 twice but not satisfied as the engine gets noisy after 3k

0w20 is not mentioned in the owners manual for honda city. Better use the viscosities that are present on the manual only.

not every honda engine recommends 0w20. The current honda city 2009 onwards, honda civic 2006-2012 and honda civic 2012-2016 take 0w30 as their minimum one. 0w20 should not be used in these three models

However, the new honda civic takes in 0w20
