Best mehran(which year?)

I'm using mehran 2009vxr getting mileage of 18km/litre in city. And 22 km/litre on motorways .Its a car takes u one point to another. Under good care its do its job . but comfort is average. Its design for 04people on board &people get loaded 07 and expect a lot more...

Thanx alot sir....my need is to go from point A to point B...i know that mehran's AC will not be very good but the point is that does it make this heat a little bit bearable??

In city for student mehran is the best. ...once u r on the job buy any car u wish...dont put burden on ur parents. ..i also had a mehran when i was in college n i lived to tell the tale...there is no end to anything...u buy an old junk like civic corolla merc n ull end up making freindships with khardya wala, radiator wala, and the list will go on. Buy a good mehran n wish u best of luck

100 % agreed , lekin if you take a paper and pen and sit down in a room all alone and "CALCULATE" the expense of a MEHRAN, you will soon realize ke the maintenance is worth more than the car itself......

Many things look good on paper I my student life I had a Mazda 808 and I can confidently say that car maintainances was more of less as cheap as mehran being a RWD car I once met an minor accident in my car due to sudden breaking a margalla hit my car from back I ended up with a de shaped bumper got it right my welding guy in 50rs on the other hand whole front of that margalla was gone
P.s I am recommending anything to anyone what I am saying is that a stronger car could proof more affordable

People usually get JDM Ac install in mehran or ff. Without ac , u will feel hot air as on bike. Depends on how is your comfort with heat.

A well maintained khyber will give really good fuel consumption with ac in city. I would say the same about margalla as a friend is getting good consumption. All it requires is a good maintenance history and the figures will surprise you...

As compare to well maintained mehran mileage they don't beat it.
Maintenance costs is higher for both so does spares and these are old models

Who told you that Carby Margalla, 86 Corolla or 95 Civic are fuel economical cars?
These old carby cars are fuel guzzlers. The new Mehran Euro II gives a superb fuel economy.
I have bought one in Feb 2015 as a kitchen car. Although there are quality issues but its giving a fuel avg of 16-17 Kmpl in city drive with a very good engine response. Buying a three decade old car isn't a clever option, you will waste a lot of time and money in repairs.

I never said that they give XX KMPL but in this budget OP cant get mehran EII and carb mehran can never give more then 10-11 whatever you do in city. And AC of mehran is junk. If you say that mehran has good fuel economy then you are wrong and if you say mehran has even got reasonable AC then also you are totally wrong. A nice Nissan Sunny with 1.3L or Toyota Corolla with 1.3L engine in this range would give the consumption of mehran i.e 10-11kmpl and AC will be much better. Its just my advice at the end of the day OP has to decide. If he wants to buy brand new mehran then it is better, because it will be new car hassle free for atleast 3yrs and it will give him reasonable mileage. In smaller cars which are < 1000CC then new mehran is best option but it is out of his range.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I am keeping a Mehran and it is giving 16+ kmpl in city drive, so I know what I am talking about. You can check the figures from Mehran Euro II owners thread as well.
I guess it was launched in 2012, so a Lahore number car can be bought around 500K price range.

There is a difference in market rate and Pakwheels rate.
Unfortunately, the rates on pakwheels are extremely high.

The thing i advised was exact according to budget and not throwing hawaa mein teer if you can help buy OP 5lakhs EII in reasonable condition then there is no better thing then that. Most of my friends are either car showroom owners or property dealers in Pakistan.

I would be more than happy to help him but I am in Islamabad and the cars in federal capital are expensive from rest of the country. But situation is different for Lahore and Karachi.

Just buying sunny or corolla or 13oo cc is not only to considered. Afterwards Maintenance & spares cost plus other factors remains. You may buy Toyota corolla 1986 but when you go to workshop it would be clear whose bill exceed

Thats great can you give me your cars Chasis and Engine number so i can give it to Pak Suzuki and can prove that their new production Mehran EII is flop as a 2009 carb model is giving 18kmp/l in city. I have also kept a mehran and know about it. Give a realistic figure.
