Which engine oil is good for it. Presently I am using havoline 20w-50 for it
Is it good or not

Keeping using it, just make sure you get a original one every time.

I changed my car oil from Makki oil store akbar chowk lahore
Our all cars are going to same place for decades I am sure that they don’t compromise on quality
Infact I also suggest other to go there because of owner hospitality and quality check

Guys, i couldnt find the right thread for this question so im asking it here. A friend has a 2010 Xli and his car doesnt start sometimes and sometimes it starts. The not starting issue is random, could happen anywhere anytime. Everything else is fine on the car and been maintained very good considering its 10 years old. Would appreciate if someone could point out the issue.

I also have a similar problem After having a comfortable ride when I park it so after 5-15 minutes when I again try to start car it does not start
But it starts when I put my car in gear and then push the key And sometimes pushing the car after lowering handbrake Could prove fruitful
Otherwise when car starts you can take it to any corner of the country

Have your friend got the fuel pump of his car checked from any reliable mechanic?
Because of the quality of the fuel available in Pakistan, it is highly likely that this is the problem with the fuel pump that is causing this trouble.

Yes i will tell him to get fuel pump checked. Is there an issue of the starter not working properly on this particular generation of Corolla? Have heard this issue from alot of owners of 10th. gen Corolla.

Brother, continue using the same engine oil brand and grade, i.e. Caltex / Havoline 20w-50, which you are currently using in your ride.

The best would be, if he gets his vehicle scanned via OBD Tool, for any problem.

2ndly, to me, fuel supply seems to be the culprit, still, unless / until proper diagnosis is made, one cannot confirm about the exact problem.

The not starting issue is random, could happen anywhere anytime.

However, if the car of your friend has a starter problem, then this issue should be more frequent rather than random, so for now, I can suggest your friend to get his car checked from a reliable mechanic and he can get to the root of the problem.
