Best Performance Engine for Nissan B12

I'm not a big fan of the QG motors; the seem to have a lot of issues blowing head gaskets.I'm not really sure what kind of performance you are trying to obtain. B12's did come with the GA16i from the factory, so installing a GA16DE wouldn't be too hard. You'll still have to swap over the ECM and wiring harness to make it work. There are turbo kits for the GA16DE if you want to push a bit more power out of it, but I'm not sure how expensive they are to get in your country. In the USA, the go for around $1500 US, last time I checked. The SR-series engines have even more power potential, but would be a little more work fitting than the GA16DE.

ive been racing on this engine .it never lifts temperature other than half .blowing gasket is impossible.

Plus now im swapping in Qg18de as i want more power as my car is being used for racing mostly ... Qg15 was very economical plus it could easily smoke reborns or altis.

That temptation is always there after driving QG15. Yesterday, on M2, it was king of the road :). Bit irresponsible, but got to 190. This is really a little giant.

But QG18 is a monster, and you'll need whole suspension and braking upgrade. And it will be really dangerous with sheer power on this 30 years old chassis. Recommended to enjoy the QG15 and drop QG18 plans...

Yep @isbcap well said .I know but temptation takes you to Qg18de and thats the reason i have pulled out my 10/10 Qg15de and dropping in QG18de .And im installing rear disc brakes in my nissan b11 to control braking as my front suspension has a system that doesnt allows me to put a bigger disc rotor so im going for rear disc setup .
Plus my QG15de has smoked following cars with good drag drivers ..
Reborn 1.8 ,altis 1.8,grande 2014-15,city aspire 1.5 ,and few other cars.
So QG series is beast series in pakistan with great after market support .Ga and Sr's have gone off the market.
So ill suggest to all sunny guys to go with Qg's as an upgrade don't go for shitty Ga13 ,Ga15 or 16 .They dont' even come near to QG's in any thing .If you race two b12's with GA16 and QG16
trust me QG16 will give you 3 cars head start in first gear and gap will go on widening.

B11 Chasis supports sr's and even qr's so this car comes with the great racing suspension .
It has excellent road grip and in Malaysia,japan,phillipines this car is still being used in racing due to lighter and stronger chasis .YOu can have a look on youtube .

Yeah, I've smoked all these cars as well (Altis gives you some challenge though).

But please think 100 times before going for QG18. For Front wheel drives, front brake should be strong enough. Rear brake wont be too effective in case you've to stop at high speed. Plus, it may get locked as well.

All other suspension components like Goda (CV joints), bearings, disc rotors etc. should be compatible to withstand the sheer torque of QG18.

@isbcap Yeah bro all things are in good shape to handle QG18DE but clearing your doubts for this motor .This isn't that big monster as compared to QG15DE .Plus i have swapped it .And tommorow few wiring works are left and after that i'll test drive it on a open road. Today have just tested it on slow revvs .it was more louder than QG15 and Disc rotors is another upgrade that is due.And i usually brake my car on gear shifting So i don't rely that much on brakes.Still sometimes you have to chase few phaggots who think they are quick so for that purpose in traffic you need to have good brakes .So aftersometime i'll install complete suspension of nissan 98 or 91 .My mechanic checked both and these were the close replacement as compared to my suspension so less alteration in that.

Did you sell the QG15DE at throw away price to them or kept it???

Members who installed QG18 had to replace the suspension with Nissan B14 (98 model). I think it has slotted disc brakes.

@dani_kk @Isb_Cap can you guys help me in another misunderstanding? Here alot of people complaining about QG engines in CNG. People says that its not a good engine for CNG, it wastes alot of CNG and also its RPM is not stable on CNG.

I installed CNG for a brief period of time, no problems at all. My cousin also installed CNG on his QG15 (in B13). Running fine as well.

Problem is, many people are not too good at CNG installation for this engine. They may mess up the wiring in the process, causing troubles afterwards.

QG18DE is A beast .Its pulling the wheels with some serious power.While the car is stationary if you floor the paddle and depress the clutch quickly or even in a normal way the car stands on the road ,hitting the rev in the first gear to 60kph and after changing in to 2nd gear it again spins wheels and forces you in to your seat and its very fast .It's just to drive it you've to be a maestro And i've been waiting for Nanikang 15' semi slicks for more traction so that i get less wheel spin and more power on wheels.And the stockies till 1.8 category doesn't stand a chance against my B11 .Even if you are rolling on 40kph on 2nd gear and you floor the paddle suddenly ,the car quickly takes throttle and reaches to 90kph where the second gear ends .So i'm loving the drive of it .It has a electronically controlled valves placed in the inlet .They look like a throttle body valve but they are for economy .When you are till 1.5k revs the car would be hell eco .But if you drive like crazy ,it'd combust more fuel as a bigger piston size.So i'm getting 11kmL on local with revving the car fast .But if i go on light foot and on constant speed car is hell economical.So i'd size don't go for it unless you make your mind for 10-11kmL . Plus my engine has a gear with bigger bore size ,usually used in diesel and this gear comes with all QG's .So i was already on longer length axles so i never had a issue of axle replacement but if you have a gear with small bore that normally comes in GA engines or stock gears .And im poor with brakes .Im currently saving money for bigger rotors .So i drive it carefully like if some car races with me on local roads i usually maintain a larger brake distance so that i don't barge in the passing by cars .But the car is under my control so not an issue at all .Great engine,Great swap and i'm loving it .
