I got my santro done a couple of years back from M.K autos F.b area block 16 near fazal textile mills. Installed everything new except shock absorbers costed me 17000 Rs been driving since then no noise and nothing.

no you would have to get them parts Plaza is pretty close to their shop (hardly takes 2-3 mins)
they actually repair your cars shocks

For steering work go to Afzaal shop name is "abdul hameed and sons" in rubber market saddar, this place is called saeed manzil 0300-2116069 he comes highly recommended by xulfiqar bhai and I took my 2e corolla and another mehran to him for work, and he did a brilliant job on both of them. Really satisfied with his work, many karachi pakwheelers go there. He is truly a genuine person, every other suspension and steering repairer I have came through are extremely overpriced and don't know how to repair things.

In my opinion the Hyundai people are right that these damages are common due to our road conditions. But do take Afzaal's opinion as well. I think so he might be able to handle these wheel bearings as well.

But also do wait for other PW experts opinion as well what they have to say. In the mean time show your car to Afzaal and get an estimate.

Today i visited Afzal bhai he said Steering rod mai issue hai wo repair hoga 3000 - 3500 expense ayega baki gari mai koi kam nahi hai.. or brake ka kam hum nahi karty. I asked wheel bearing mai issue hai koi? he said nahi wo thek hai. I asked new kitny mai dalygi rod he said new nahi milti market main. i told him that Hyundai people are installing a new rod he said wo bhi kisi accidented gari se nikla hua saman lagaty hain new nahi hota.

I don't know what to do???

Should i go to Hyundai people or Afzal Bhai?

what steering rod are we talking about here steering rack,rack end,tie rod/end rod ?
apart from steering rack every thing else is available new
dosri baat turn krty hoye agar tuk tuk awaz ati hy to usually axle (CV joint kharab hotey hein) pta nahi hyundai walon konsy joints mein gap peda krdiya hy
what is the problem your facing regarding brakes ?
do another thing take your car to your mechanic and get your car checked @wasim625 has a Santro too so he can guide you better

for few of us over the forum, Afzal is final choice for suspension & steering work in Karachi. I'd strongly suggest please do as Afzal suggested, he will be responsible for his job while 3S shops ditch customer at whim @afarooqi @raza1

okay will get steering work done by Afzal. But now i am facing a new problem.

Although it is not new have faced it before !
My car is running great on CNG but as soon as i convert it to Petrol it gives jerks and power loss even if the accelerator is fully pressed.
Also AC is cooling much better on CNG than Petrol. It also takes a little longer sulf to start now

The first time when i faced this problem (Approx 3-4 Months ago) i just got it tuned from Hyundai and that fixed the Jerk part, the car got its power back but AC was still not cooling on petrol as good as it was cooling on CNG.

But now its again giving me same issue (Jerks+Low Cooling+longer sulf to star on petrol).
Any Leads?

Hyundai People said the Fuel Pump is weak that is why its happening and the cost of brand new pump including labour is approx 5000.
Also got it tuned but condition is same

NOISES:

Got it fixed from Hyundai;
Installed new Reck-end rod, Tie rod, ball joints. All noises has gone and steering is also smooth now.
I paid: 9000 and they said no steering work is required.

Got computerized alighnment done in Rs. 500 from Gulshan Chowrangi.

PETROL ISSUE:

Fuel pump was weak so got it changed from local mechanic in Gulshan e Iqbal block 5.
Got fuel pump for Rs. 900 with 6 months warranty. Got it installed in Rs. 700
Total Paid: 1600
Its working perfect now on petrol.

After getting the work done i went on a trip of about 700 KM on Eid Day.
Just came back today No Noises No Issues so far.

If that is the case then there is no use of installing all such things as my car has bigger tires than the stock Santro and i am afraid that new parts will also get damage due to this? Hyundai people said NO its not because of Tires it just happens with all cars with time as we have pathetic road conditions.

I am facing low mileage issue in my santro. It gives 60-65km on full cng which fills up for rupees 920/- approx.
It gives white smoke on cold start. Got it checked from local mechanic; according to him low mileage and white smoke is because head valves are not seated properly, he had tighted the tappets and hit on some parts most probably the valves will seat with time and the issue will be resolved. I don't know how much he is accurate.
And there were noises from front and rear wheels on bumpy roads. I got it checked from one suspension wala and he repaired the steering box. Got it checked from another suspension wala and he replaced the rear axle bushes.
Today i filled my petrol tank to full and once again i am experiencing noise from both front and rear wheels and my car seems low from rear due to weight of petrol.
Now what could be the issue? Where can i get its suspension checked.
Seniors and Santro users please guide me where should i get the engine checked for above mentioned problem or is is this local mechanic right.
Also please suggest me some suspension wala where i can get it inspected and get the issue resolved.
Please note that i am new car user as well as my first experience is with santro. It's 2004 santro club. Got it a month or two month ago..
