Greenline or Business Express.

Greenline fare is 5000 (new coaches, wifi, newspaper, led tv, dinner in DN Journeyor lunch in UP journey, breakfast, evening snacks.
Business express is 4000 (refurbished coaches, wifi, led tv)

They have 6 person compartment so you will have to share it with 3 other people..

Is there a possibility that we can buy whole compartment just for three people ? . I am asking because sharing it with other people makes ones journey less enjoyable

Another thing ive heard is that govt has took control of Business express and now it would stop at several stations whereas previously it used to stop at only 2 or 3 stations, is it true ?

I will recommend only DAEWOO instead of any train as per experience

Brother my tight schedule and accompanying female company demands me to travel by a more comfortable medium.

One more option. AC Sleeper of Night coach express (by Shalimar). It will cost 24000 for 4 person compartment though. It has attached washroom, led tv. No meals.

Is it clean and comfortable ?

Or u can buy 4 tickets of teyzgam. Few compartments come with 4 berths too.

2 person AC Sleeper compartment in any of these trains.. Night coach express or Tezgam. If OK with sharing compartment with 4 other ppl, then you can also choose Business class of any good train like Business Express, Karakoram, KHI express, Tezgam etc.

Thanks Xoofi aka our Rail Encyclopedia. Tell me one more thing: you said it is very hard to get booking in AC Sleeper of Tezgam/Khayber Mail (because of some Army/Judges Quota). Is the booking issue same for private train Night Coach?

No issue of pvt shalimar night coach but in rush season they get booked out quite fast

I went with my wife last month. We booked the 2 person sleeper. It's clean and absolutely comfy. Had attached bath. The cleaning staff comes timely to collect trash. The staff overall was courteous and cooperative. The air conditioning was the best. (Came back in Green line and they almost roasted us with the heater :@, though this issue was only in our car. They settled it down on complaint) They don't offer meal but for the 2 person coupe they gave "complimentary" breakfast. Not sure if it applies to 4 persons too. Charges for the coupe were 14K, but don't remember exactly :). It reached 1 hour late to LHR but given the amount of fog back then, it was quite ok. If you want to avoid any issues please follow exactly what Sufiyan bhai aka Xoofi says

Well , the journey went quite good. Wasnt able to update the thread due to my busy schedule. I opted for green line express and it departed from khi exactly at the given time of 10 pm and reached lhr 10 mins before its arrival time. The train is neat and clean with exceptions of some compartments where there were too much cockroaches so i had to change the compartment because of that. Upon inquiring about that, the train staff told me that they got these cockroach infested compartments sprayed before leaving khi which i guess instead of eliminating the problem worsened it. Apart from that the lunch and bfast were fulfilling and tasty along with a morning complimentary kit. We were also served with tea on timely basis. The train stopped at three stations on its way which are Rohri (25 mins) bahawalpur(20 mins) khanewal( 25 mins). The weather outside was too good and as soon as we entered punjab there was rain everywhere and the the sky was overcast, We didnt see any sunshine on our way and it started raining heavily when we reached lhr. Altogether green line is recommended if you are travelling along with 4 to 6 persons and want a comfy journey.

Go for greenline. You will get a cabin of 6 and 3 will be shared in next cabin with 3 other people.
