Best train to travel from Karachi to Lahore

Hi, I will be going to Lahore next month for a little business to take care of. Well, you know that not every one can afford an airplane ticket these days (wish I could), So I will be taking a train to travel. I have traveled by train (karakoram, Shalimar, Pak-business) many times but only with my family, however now I have to travel alone.
Well, you know that there are 'small rooms with 6 berths', I will totally not go in those. Aren't there separate berths which are not confined in a room?
I have seen pictures of train which have interior seating arrangement like a bus. Which trains have such an arrangement?
I would really appreciate if someone give me the name of trains which have bus like arrangement or 'separate berths' that go from Karachi to Lahore and vice versa?
(P.S. I was thinking of travelling through Daewoo but I read some sh*tty reviews about it, that it has been greatly degraded and so. Is that true?)

I am also traveling (with family and kids) to Karachi in few days. Only Option I found was business Class (Cope of six persons). I need few questions if someone already traveled in it. (Sahiwal to Karachi Khyber mail. Karachi to Sahiwal Karachi Express).
1- Do I need Blankets or is it ok in warm clothes?
2- I will carry drinking water. What about water in toilets?
3- Food? because it is min 18h journey.
4-Do they have mobile charging facility in the cabin (business Class cabin for 6 persons).
5- Any other tip or advice. It will be my first travel by train in Pakistan

Air travel is not that much expensive. If you book a month before it will cost around Rs 6500/- for Karachi to Multan (Lahore will be expensive). Then you can travel to Lahore by Daivoo. For single person train will be boring and you will not feel secure with five other strangers. check following link if lucky you can still find cheap flights.

Shalimar Express has AC Parlor class (seating like bus).. but 18 hrs journey sitting on a seat would be too tiring. Why would you not travel in 6 person compartment (Business class?) it is probably the best option in trains right now after AC Sleeper.

1. Take warm cloths, they turn on heater in winters so don't worry.
2. well it depends, usually no issue in business class but expect outage due to various factors. In this case, keep empty water bottles with you and fill them up in stations on the way.
3. Take long lasting homemade food if you can for proper lunch and dinner, this will be good for your family, there's restaurant in Khyber Mail and it's just so-so, you can manage with homemade food + restaurant.
4. If you are lucky, and got new coach then you are comfortable in all means, mobile charging, clean compartments and less noisy journey, but if you got old coach, then it's just guzara without any facility, you can tip one of attendant to charge your mobile or do same in restaurant.
5. Just enjoy your journey, it's fun. Keep your coupe locked when sleeping/unscheduled stops.
