It totally depends on what you are looking for though?
When it comes to resale Elantra and Civic are on top
Civic will have cheaper running/repair costs
MG HS/Cherry Tiggo 4 pro are feature loaded, but expensive to run/maintain
Considering that HS and Tiggo 4 Pro are grouped together; the HS clearly wins because of the dealer support that Cherry may not have as they are changing partners. So if you would want a car that gives you loads of features with the expense of higher running costs, the HS would be the better choice.
The other category would be between Elantra and Civic, where I honestly think you can't go wrong with either choice. The Elantras warranty period is finishing up so this will allow you to bring the maintenance cost down enough where it is pretty much the same as the Civic. Check the interiors and drive and choose what feels better to you if you're deciding between these two
