I do not see any validity of quoted price on the quotation.

in business practice a price / invoice has some validity which binds seller to stick to price.

so IF they have increased the price before payment transfer I do not see anything wrong as per standard rules of business.

customer walk in to a shop ask for a price of an item - walk away - come back few hours later ask for the item but price is high same day same shop same item - price is different. Seller's choice & it is legal.

I was looking for a car and selected one from www.carjunction.com. Prices for 1.0L and 1.3L were different. 1.0L was cheaper as compared to 1.3L. I selected the 1.3L version and invoice was sent to me. After talking to the couple of representatives on the website the deal was finalized. I was sent a confirmation email with the invoice to deposit money (Invoice photo attached). A representative called for confirmation if I will pay the said amount which I confirmed to deposit.

Later I was informed that although it was reserved for me but it has been sold to another customer. Not a big deal may be logical as first come first serve.

Then one of the representatives of the website informed and confirmed that the car is still available and still reserved for me if I want to buy.

Just before depositing the money I talked to a person online who told me another story. the car is available but the price has gone higher due to tax/customs which is not the case as duty structure did not change on the weekend definitely :D. He also said 1.3L is more expensive ... same thing the other representative told me before selecting the car and I chose the expensive one knowing it has better specs.

Now they asked me if I was willing to pay PKR 200,000 more and they will sell the car to me. This is so ridiculous. A representative quotes you a price and then no one is willing to honor his words. He has not contacted me again instead other people have talked to me.

Anyway to cut the story short I canceled the deal as I am in no mood to pay 200,000 more for the same car.

Anyone buying from www.carjunction.com website please do it at your own risk. As once you deposit the money there is no way you will like to pay more for the same car or take the money back with getting ripped off. Bank transaction charges are non refundable and returning the money is another chapter.

Keep away from these kind of sellers. They don’t honor their invoices even, Look for clean deals elsewhere.

If this is standard practice then why are they trying to reach a comromise by offering massive discounts? Calling again and again asking not to publish it? When they increased price they were like do whatever you can but you have to pay increased price and afterwards they are on knees begging forgiveness, if they are right, why are they asking forgiveness and offering discounts?

I would humbly disagree with you on this and especially this comparison which it out of context.

I am not referring to window shopping here where nothing is finalized and there is no documentation of the deal. This is a documented sales agreement between the seller and buyer. I have been part of purchase department for quite sometime now and I do a lot of online purchases also. You can negotiate price, specs and everything before finalizing the deal. You may even refuse to sell to a particular buyer but once both seller and buyer agree mutually and finalize the deal, then you can't change it if its not mentioned in terms and conditions. If the seller wants or plans to change anything like the quoted price he has to add in terms and conditions that this invoice is valid for 5 days only and price will be different after this period.

This is what reputable vendors do in order to establish and maintain credibility of their company otherwise incidences like this destroy the reputation and the ratings of the company which eventually makes the credibility of the company questionable.

I would like to put out a heads up about these guys. If you are told your purchase is rust free - don't believe it.
If you are told your purchase has 96,000KM - don't believe it.
If you are told you won't be disappointed in your purchase - don't believe it.
If you think you are dealing with a Japanese person at customer service - don't believe it.
As anyone can guess I was less than happy with my purchase from this company and basically would like to not see it happen to others.

really disappointing. i was about to import a car and was in a process of dealing with them.. Thank GOD that i encountered this thread.. wont be going for the deal even if they quote me a very reasonable price... plz can u help me out that if their is any other REPUTED site thru which i can have a fair deal??

I think you can contact couple of people who are working as fee for services. You have to sit with them on the computer for online auction. You can inspect the auction sheet with all the detail about the cars and select one for yourself. They do the rest of the work and deliver it to your door step. They charge 50K fee. I can give you further detail about them. Two of my friends recently imported couple of cars from them. Both were grade 5 low mileage. They cost a little more than what we get from the market as the ones available here are hardly over 3-3.5 grade max and most are R Grade.
