I always try to travel in rickshaws in Karachi. Have had 2-4 lac in pocket at times for payments, but I travel in Rickshaw with Nokia 101 and dirty clothes- no one bats an eye. Haha.

I went to Karachi to buy stuff with my mom for our shop- we did rent a car for three days, I had a Dslr in car and took enough pictures. But- when you're trying to find parking space in Boulton market in Karachi, and that too in an xli, it's tough.

So We ended up taking a Rickshaw. Much more quicker and cheaper.
Had problems going past machar colony.

I did use my good phone, only those days I had plans to go to offices and stuff- Karachi has some beautiful buildings.

But when you're gonna order some tailor made clothes which have to be perfect, it takes us a day to tell shop keeper to ensure its extremely good quality and not desi or 19-20 quality.

So I usually stay awake at night and just sleep in their office, where it's chilled and cool.

I still miss those days from early 90's when we never had any such street crime in atleast most of the areas like gulshan, PECHS, saddar clifton and DHA. We used to roam all day and night in those areas even when some areas were under curfew such as north karachi and liaqatabad. Now nowhere in Kci are you safe...even inside a fully packed bus u better be ready to dishout your mobile on gun point in full view of the other passengers....leave alone rickshaw, bike and car.

nope.. thts the right way of making somone understand.. else nobody gives a f*ck...! believe me,, @faiz.aslam.121 must hav had taken it serious in terms of using his hi-tech phon and camera in karachi and u will soon be seeing him taking photographs by his dslr and talking on phone in middle of karachi.. specially in BALOCH/ PAARA itself dnt u know he himself said tht he is not a pu$$y .. ( i dint say tht.. he did it himself.. dont blame me for P word..)

Traffic jams k illawa Traffic signal pe rukna b dangerous hai bhai! Seriously want to leave karachi because of such incidents.Recently i was at a signal in defence.There was a civic in first row of signal,another civic in second row and i was in the third row.Suddenly the civic in second row reversed and went away.Then i saw there was a bike parked on the left side of that civic in the first row and a guy was standing at the driver side of that civic with a pistol which he was trying to hide and he took away the wallet and mobile of that civic owner.This guy was coming to the left side of the car where his bike was parked by passing from the back of civic.I presumed that it was my turn of getting looted.But thank God he didnt came to me and i figured that he was trying to avoid passing from the front of the civic as the civic guy may drive over him.

I second capsat, that is baloch parha to your left, and let me tell you, that is one place that you do not ever want to go. I've been there alot when I was young, had a balochi friend who's cousins lived in that area so we used to hang out with these guys, I've seen some crazy things, these folks are ruthless. You my friend were right inside their jurisdiction, i.e. Jahangir road. Try to avoid that route.

neither me, The only people I've ever come across in PERSON due to PW is aqeel baig saheb & hanif bhatti saheb, - however I strongly believe person sitting on the other side of screen is human & be treated civilised way.
