i am using daewoo battery from last 3 months..but my car was parked for two days as i am ill and was unable to start..today my car is not starting..there must be some quality issues in daewoo batteries

its working perfectly fine for many
randomly drains and dies on few users

they certainly have quality consistency issue

So i have the same issue, well never considered it to be an issue until i read the theead.

I am using daewoo and i use my other car once a week i am facing same problem. Till now I never suspected daewoo always thought it is discharged due to less usage

It's notorious for that, not everyone's lucky like adil and jasim as you can see above. My 1.5 year old daewoo battery (the good one i mentioned above) causes trouble in start up if the car is left for a day, i kid you not. Go for AGS next time brother.

the usual lead antimony batteries work great as long as you prep them properly. No silly issues of sudden death like these suffer from.

ALSO, point to note.

Make sure the battery is insulated from brunt of heat. It can cook the battery and diminish its life.

yes, heat insulation works fantastic.

mehran originally comes with a rudimentary insulation - its basically a plastic shield to prevent the hot air brunt from radiator fan directly cooking the battery.

a lot of cars come with such insulation, which is promptly thrown away either by "sarviss tayshun" or "battery dukaan"

I've seen that happening. Also has happened to one of my friends. People install dry batteries without taking into account that they donot take well to heat.

And sir is vaseline good enough protect corrosion on terminals or should one use synthetic grease?

Can i sell old dry battries to kabari wala? Do thay take it? I sold them AGS battery but don't know wether they take dry battry or not

Here is the one I made, its got very basic white polyester jacket material.

Its required for this car as the battery sits at very top and rear of engine bay which cooks it if you dont protect it.

I am using suzuki swift automatic 1.3. i replaced acid battery with DAEWOO dry battery in nov 2020 and its stop working in nov 2023. almost 2 years. car is continuously running without stop for more than two days.
previous wet batteries also last for 1.5 years AGS.
