Excellent trip, managed beautifully, awesome playground ,enthusiastic participants, and above all GEO JANJ .

A memorable trip it was, good coordination over all, good event and good participation despite the fact that most had to take 4 days out of working or personal time. Lastly, on account of the news from the region, atleast, my family wondered why am I taking unnecessary risks. Still, went to Malam Jabba, mainly because of the persuasion of Saqib (janj) and frankly, I am very happy to have gone there because I now know that Swat is more safe than most of our cities, hence, am already planning to take my family to Swat this summers for a minimum 5 day vacation.
As always, our brothers in crime from IJC graced the event, and, while adding more great memories, it was fun to share jokes and memories of the past events.
Rally was supposed to be the main event but in my personal opinion, the track leading to the valley where the event was arranged was more difficult and thrilling than most of us could have imagined. As always there was a lot of support, both material and emotional for those who were less experienced in driving in such dangerously narrow, steep and snow covered dirt tracks.
All in all, it was well spent 4 days, the event, jokes and experience of which will be a source of personal joy for the rest of my life.

No doubt Janj, Saidhi and 4x4 engaged Team....... it was an event full of various kinds of treats.... from bbq to snow chains from making the track till butt freezing cold. it was just awesome.
Would like to thank the entire 4x4 engaged? team for the hospitality and warmth extended to us and to my IJC partners in crime. An event which will live forever with us.

Oye laalays game on thee! Instead of getting emotional about this, I will say it was a superb event, and followed the philosophy of 4x4 Engaged, hunt new tracks and terrain. So with the club, its never a repetitive track, but its the entirety of the whole experience that makes these trips top notch. I enjoyed everything, but most of all enjoyed stupidly dancing around with close friends.
As mentioned before, no doubt, the track leading us to the rally point was more challenging that we would have ordinarily thought. Just 1 pair of snow chains was the bare minimum, and all of us should have carried 2 pairs.
Asad and other IJC members need to be thanked for their company and hilarious talk on wireless radios.
I have had very limited exposure to the North of the country, and plan on doing some major exploring in the near future. I don't know why we waste money and travel abroad when we could have twice the fun and memories in our country.
Jay ho Pakistan kee
PS. Great pics guys, chal DD, dubara shuru ho.
and i was the first one to reach meeting point at thokar niaz baig followed by janj... we put stickers on the rides and there they go....
-Bugzy and Sufian were leading in fully loaded Defender with tow trolly and accompanied by Rizwan Buttar aka Adventure fotographer.... Bug and Sufian smoke the hell out of Rizwan ....
as janj says, "Life's too short, Live it!"
only a few realize how many months of effort had been made to organize everything for us just to sit in our cars, go there and enjoy. janj, bhai truly respect you for that.
i would like to thank JD for his efforts in keeping us warm and providing us hot food.Plus, in making the journey as painless and safe as possible. Even then me and buttar found a way to get ourselves in a sniper lock ... boy! will never forget that!
Accompanying both senior navigators, the thought never came to mind i would be sharing 1st prize with saidhi .. hehehe .. as he said "Im the lucky navigator". but Gold Leaf did its job pretty well
The track as always was really really amazing and enough for me to do it on foot and finally sitting with parapilot on the last incline. Thanks ehsan bhai.
IJC brothers: Asad bhai NN Parapilot and nomi, you guys are a great company and dont let moods go down for a second.
Qasim bhai: Thanks for the Stereo you have installed in the defender. Apart from all the 4x4 accessories, this i believe was the most important since most of the times we were not allowed to make a stop in our trip, sufiyan bhai's collection of failed love songs did there job.
Guru g, thanks for the display of your enlightened emotions on "XXXX Sutta Na Mila". that is also one of the never forgotten moments of the trip.
RizwanButtar: thanks for showing me how my camera actually works. but next time, i will ask you in a more convenient way
Sufiyan bhai: you are beyond explanation ... LOL
JANJ: bhai, you are truly an inspiration. Congratulations on the successful 1st Jeep Snow Rally(with prizes) your out of the box approach has again led us to become part of "history in making" for the 4x4Sports in Pakistan.
Last but not least Immy: dude! you are normally working your A#$ off in the background and nobody finds out how much time and effort you have put into making things enjoyable for us. just to put up with and follow janj's instructions and brain waves and mood swings is very very tough, but you go beyond that and make things happen.
Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening - Robert Frost
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
I just wanted to let you know what a great weekend I had with you guys while we were in Malam Jabba. It was a fantastic trip and it was so nice of all of you to have taken out time for a tour of the area.
The scenery was beautiful and totally different from my Summer visit to the Rally Play Ground.
