I did set up my tripod and took some stills. Stove was taken out and soup and tea was prepared, Pratha and Omlette, leftover from morning breakfast, was served with hot tea. Joyful time, really!!

View of snowlake was meditational from Hispar top, I don’t know what to say more… doesn’t matter how much time you spend watching it but appetite still remains there.

Nature works in strange way… it burns your skin but heals your soul… harsh sunrays and fierce snow storms suck all your energy out … but fill you with all the motivation and strength from inside. On such treks when weather seems against you… everything gets tough and when it becomes almost impossible to move any further… Nature takes your soul to its OT.… processes and cleanse it. The stains you have carried over from civilization, scars on your heart, burns in your mind, moment of disdain and insecurities saved in neural cells…. All of them and much more... gets a VIP spa treatment in such situations. Going to mountains and high plains is always soulful for a mountaineer… a heartfelt experience. It is like polishing bronze that has lost its luster with time.

To mark the occasion we had some fun on top with Snow Lake watching us from behind

We spent an hour or a little more enjoying the view and discussing the geography of Snow lake. Also next part of the trek was our point of discussion. Hyder, our cook, estimated a few hours to cross the pass and land on Hispar glacial plain. Also he thought of a speedy approach because now we will be descending and it does help your pace. Waheed, the guide, said there is no precise path which would lead us to the other side…. Every year new crevasses open, some get closed, avalanche occur, snow storms etc.. all these factors make it difficult to define a precise way out of this fractured zone… it may or may not take longer time. But as per his comments this was the real BIG thing of our trek if we cross it safely… Part of it was exciting and partly it was worrying as less energy was left to fight the trouble. The moment we left Hispar top marked our separation from snow lake viewing that on the back had been great source of motivation for us during last 2 days.
As you start from the top towards Hispar side, descend is very slow in start…. The terrain is mostly flat. Bright sun was blessed over us for hardly 10 minutes there… it literally burnt us. Horrible… the most intense sun rays were like penetrating the body inside the clothing and skin. But Thanks to Almighty the intensity reduced as clouds from Hispar side started settling in…
