Had my exams going on but now that they are finish I had dedicated one night for my bike.
Detailed my bike after getting tuning and oil changed.
Oil used was Repsol 4t rider 20w50.
Detailing started at night since the temperature was bearable.
First made solution of concentrated Apc(meguiar's) with water in the ratio 1:10 to form a diluted solution.
Got myself some toothbrushes and hard brush and started working from engine down till the bottom of engine where mud and dirt and oil is like glued to the metal. Sprayed Apc and scrubbed with brushes to remove that. For very stubborn marks used wd40 as it does the cleaning job nicely.
After scrubbing, washed the scrubbed areas with high pressure water. Then washed the whole bike with moderate pressure carefully so that it doesn't get to wires. Had covered the wires with polythene bags.
First washed the tyres completely to remove all the dirt.
Using two bucket method filled one bucket with normal water and other with car shampoo(turtle f21) and filled with warm water. Using a washmitt(kenco) , cleaned whole bike with shampoo. Rinsed with fresh water with moderate pressure.
Using a microfiber(kenco) , dried every single corner of bike.
Took 5 mins water break and got back to work.
Using meguiar's even coat applicator pads (perfect for polishing sealing) dispensed a small amount of meguiars ultimate polish and massaged it into paint. Immediately buff off with microfiber. Did this procedure on tank, both fenders, both side covers and the painted part underneath the seat.
After 15 mins gave an Apc wipe to remove oil left by ultimate polish. During this time applied meguiar's endurance tyre spray using applicator pad. After 10 mins applied another coat of tyre spray for shine.
Now after Apc applied Dp poli coat sealant on major areas like tank fender and covers and underneath seat.
This sealant gives 6 months of protection which is very good. I let it haze for 10 - 15 mins and buffed of.
Then left it like that for 10 hours for curing.
In the mean time I polished side mirrors with Turtle wax glass polish.
Used turtle wax chrome polish on chrome areas (handles, exhaust "system", rims etc)
Applied brasso on engine parts. Cleaned muffler with Apc and did some sanding. and then again Apc. When it was completely dry to touch sprayed the Muffler with matt spray paint with even coating. Then left it dry overnight while I had my sleep.
In morning applied meguiar's #26 hi tech wax and buffed. Bike was all bling bling.
Hope u like my detailing session.
Enjoy the pics.
