wow really nice thread mashAllah .. in my opinion these projectors not only looks damn cool but functionality wise there top notch way better then normal hids in reflector housings and also the cutt off is simply remarkable considering the fact when hids placed in normal halogen housings it just reflects and scatters everywhere and totally blinds oncomming drivers but when these hids placed in projectors they just throw all that scattered light (which is normally scattered everywhere by halogen housings) down to the road so in this way true working potential of hids and their cool looking shashka can be availed to the max .. everyone looking for placing hids in their rides must go for this projector lens aswell thanks ... members can correct me if am wrong though !

you are absolutely right i wonder how fast people start moving to hids but they never thing about glare and proper lighting it can cause serious blindness.i just use high beam for dipper other wise low beam is enough for driving in city.

i Think black gives very aggressive looks and looks just perfect to me but it depends on the color of car .silver is also looking good and give oem look.At choice is yours

WHY DO MY HID BULBS FLICKER OR STROBE?

There are several reasons that might cause your HID bulbs to flicker or strobe:

Reason #1:

You may require a special harness because your car is not designed to have HID lights installed. This is caused by the amount of resistance that is required for the vehicle's electrical system, and since HID is a low resistance and high output application, the vehicle will not send a constant amount of power to the ballasts and cause the lights to flicker and make an error light to show in the dashboard of the vehicle.

Reason #2:

Your vehicle may have what is called DRL, or Daytime Running Lights. This is an option that only works with halogen bulbs because the vehicle's computer only sends roughly 20 watts of power to the headlights and HID requires a minimum of 35 watts of power to the ballasts to ignite the bulbs. Reason #3:

Check your fuse box. Are your headlights using a 10amp for 15amp fuse? If so upgrade to a 20amp fuse. HID lights are best run with a 20amp fuse because the amount of resistance is reduced and the amount of power is increased, also because it is a small increase of power it is still safe for your factory wiring.

Reason #4:

Check your connections! Are all your connections clean and dry? Look inside the connectors, are the pins bent? Was it difficult to connect any of the plugs? This is typically the most common fault in a system, if the connection pins are bent or not securely in place or may even be wet. Also you may have the wires reversed, use a test light to make sure you have the wiring: positive to positive and negative to negative.

Reason #5:

You may not be getting enough power to your headlights to power the ballasts. If you have a volt meter or a way to check the amount of power coming from your headlight connection, you should have at least 7 volts coming from your headlight Pluto power the ballasts. If you do not you may require a battery relay kit.

Reason #6:

Maybe the product is defective, if you have done the previous steps and still have a problem than it is possible your product may be defective,

How to solve HID flickering problem?

To work properly, xenon high intensity discharge headlights require the vehicle’s direct current power to be converted to high voltage alternating current. This is accomplished through a ballast, which provides a voltage to the headlamps when they are switched on. A common cause of flickering HID headlights is voltage that is too low being sent to the ballast.

Causes of Low Voltage

Low voltage in your vehicle’s electrical system can be caused by a defective battery, a poorly performing alternator or the use of daytime running lights. In addition, some newer vehicles have sensors that activate by sending a low voltage to the headlights when they are turned off.

Using a Relay Harness

A relay harness allows the ballast to draw electricity from the vehicle battery directly, which eliminates low voltage issues. In some cases, a capacitor is needed to work together with the relay harness to ensure proper voltage is applied to the ballast.

Incorporating High-Power Capacitors

High-power capacitors allow increased power to reach the ballast, which will then feed the proper voltage to the headlights. This is the most common fix for flickering HID lights and often solves other problems, such as eliminating the “headlights out” indicator on your dashboard display.

Installing Resistor Packs

Using a resistor pack will cause the vehicle’s electrical system to send the same voltage to the xenon lamps as it would if halogen bulbs were installed.

1) check all connections for looseness, tighten any connection that is loose.Check the connection to his ballast for sure, connection to his battery terminals and to the signal wire, relay connection etc.
2) Make sure none of the wires insulated jackets have been cut/spliced and wires are grounding out anywhere to the body of the car
3)make sure theres no tension in the wires that are connected into the ballasts, signal, etc give them a bit of slack.
4) check ballast mounting position, sometimes the way you mount it, it takes just as much movement as the car when hitting bumps and such
5) if you touched the bulb, sometimes it will flicker before it fully dies
6) make sure bulb is mounted securely with no play
7) is you even sure its flickering? because if his headlight is loose, or the bulb has play mounted inside the headlight, when u hit a pothole you will see the light is moving up and down, is he confusing that for flickering?

1) buy a pair of warning cancellers. warning canceller are capacitors that keep energy and give the energy to the ballast when the ballast is in need.
2) buy a relay harness . the relay harness get the kit plug directly to the battery to guarantee a straight 12v.
3) buy a new hid conversion kit with canbus ballast. canbus ballast is the only ballast on the market with built in warning canceller and anti-flickering. its guarantee that you wont have any flickering problem or lamp out error on your dash. It is the last technology of ballast.

Types of projectors
Bi-xenon means Low & High beam HID in one projector
Bi-Halogen means Low & High beam Halogen in one projector
(both of those have a solenoid that moves a cut-off shield for the hi/low function)

There are Low-beam-only & High-beam-only projectors.

Low-Beam-only projectors come in Halogen and HID versions.

High-Beam-only projectors are typically only Halogen.

Some Halogen Projectors can handle HID OK, but for the best output use an OEM HID projector and good quality Bulbs and ballasts.

There are also Fog projectors, but they are almost all Halogen (but some handle HID OK and people go that route too but that is overkill).

When you're doing a retrofit, nearly every surface inside the headlight can be painted including the original reflector, since the projector will be taking over the responsibilities of producing light - those surfaces don't have to be mirrored anymore wot u think ?

bro a query where can we find that butyl rubber glue ? is it available anywhere in pakistan ?

every part can be painted even the outside area of projecter can also be painted.their is now no need of that chrome area.
i dont know whether it is available or not. although headlights wont need more butlyl because when you open headlight the glue still remains, just heat it it and the glue will be active again.

In person its more brighter,sharper and colorful then in camera.visibilty have almost improved by 300%.

Bro can you please suggest that any projectors with all the stuff you put in available in market for Honda City 2005 model ?

I am going to install hids in my ride on this Monday In Shaa Allah ,but On a serious note i dont like hid that much as it blinds other on high light ...Although i use low light mostly in car ....

What I am thinking to install leds on the Big middle ring of City 05 headlight .....
But any good enough after market headlight is available for city 05?? Anything like projections or different style Headlights??

And I have 0 knowledge in all this stuff .....

Would be very nice to see your reply as soon as possible due to lack of time available .....!

Yeah it is not complete ring ...I mean having some covered spaces in the ring as well ....
But What it looks after projection ? I think if proper fitting and projectors or some kinda thing is fixed on it must look good on it ... What say ?

Or do you have any reference pic ? or some pw member done any mods on front light of city ever? Except the smooky lights ...

no it looks pathetic even with a projector, the headlamp shape doesn't suit projector retrofit ( i mean it can easily be done but will not look good at all)
