uff - grrrrr
HOW blind can your brain be, you are saying that fuel injectors spray into a carburettor now.. PLEASE MAKE SOME SENSE OUT OF THIS.. That means the picture shown by whiteangel is the injectors are spraying into a 4 tube whack job carburettor instead of the inlet manifold immediately at the inlet ports of the cylinder head.
NOW READ the below,
Air is admitted into a multipoint EFI controlled engine by a throttle body and fuel is added to this air at the inlet ports of the cylinder head via injectors spraying a petrol mist, this air/fuel load is then sucked into the engine by the opening of the intake valve and downward motion of the piston.
In a Throttle body injection system (Daewoo Racer) you see one injector sitting on a housing that looks like a carburettor, fuel is sprayed on top of the throttle plate and the opening of the throttle allows this fuel/air mixture to be sucked in by the action of negative pressure of the inlet valves opening.
In a carburettor, the fuel is mechanically metered by vacuum load signals within the carburettor throats due to the action of the throttle plate(s) underneath it.
As I explained earlier about the diesel operating principle read that again.
I beleive you also have a problem in understanding plain english text, nowhere did I mention that fuel and air are injected through the injector, fuel is mixed with air that was sucked via the throttle body as a mist by the injector housed near the inlet ports - the air is metered by the throttle blade(s).. Now dont get into the debate of how which sensor puts in what information to the ECM, PCM, MCU, ECU - for it to adjust injector firing sequence and interval and also control ignition timing. - The owner of this thread will be super p155ed
Either you have never ever seen an EFI engine and its workings or are just trying to mickey around over here. It pays to learn something true not barging in with false information (just like our lovely govt/politicians do)
It would make more sense to open up another thread with your questions rather than destroy someones thread.
btw - Im enjoying playing along, how about you go study the mistubishi GDI engines, Its a petrol engine with fuel injectors spraying directly into the combustion chamber (like a diesel) but also has a spark plug in the CC, but also has a throttle blade on its super huge inlet manifold. - I think you would consider it a hoax too.
