whats your take on nightime assist especially infrared camera, i found the idea to be distracting as its not in the same line of sight so you could only have a occasional glance, i think they should involve this technology with the heads up display

you can change the display to normal mode and keep the system still active. It will beep and let you know for any danger. I have shared some information on thread https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/news-articles-driver-education-safety/228716-driving-night-danger-responsibilities-safety-measures . On NY Autoshow this year I saw Audi showing a video in the loop about the night time assist.. the video was showing the animals and pedestrians on heads up display I believe it will be like this in future. I haven't seen the system while functioning myself so Not sure but will ask a BMW/ Audi rep when i go next time. :)
