Body Paint work

Salam all,

I have a lancer 90 and im done with its scrap denting, my painter is forcing me to choose normal paint instead of (baked) bhatti paint, he is saying that he has a covered room where dust and air wont interfere and the paint would be just like bhatti paint. Pls suggest. Paint would be black metallic.

plz throw some light on these two methods my car is also in workshop want to know before it gets into paint job

Bake paint means that paint job done in a room which is heated at appropriate temp which helps the paint to stick & dry soon - also there is no intereference of dust particle and u just need polishing after paint.

While in normal paint u need cutting using sand paper and then polishing.

For black metallic colour, I will suggest that u should go for bake paint for extra shine and good finishing.

U just need to pay 3K to 4K more for paint booth.....

Painting in a covered room - means that u r painting a cold body.

Sun light is rrquired to heatup the body so that paint can stick on body to avoid paint drips.

Just discuss this with your painter - and then its on u either u go for bake paint or normal.

thanks for the info I dont know about any paint booth in hyderabad so I have to go for normal paint :(
