Thanks very much! Bro, if you look again, I've mentioned the names of all the places featured in this thread in bold. My trip covered not only the western coast, but also the central province and hill country. Now, if you only have 5 days to spend, and if you're more of a beach bum, there are many options that you could exercise. I suggest arriving in Colombo, and wasting no time in taking a cab/budget (Nano) cab down the coast via the Southern Expressway using Mirisa beach as your starting point for the first day/night.
The next day, move up the coast to Unawatuna beach (which is my favourite). 15 mns north of here, lies the town of Galle, which you must definitely check out. The whole place has nice restaurants, tourists, beach clubs and bars. I'd spend 2 days in total in Unawatuna/Galle given the limited time you have.
Next, try Hikkaduwa beach. If you like diving/ water sports etc., Hikka's a good place to be. They've got two large clubs too, so decent partying shouldn't be hard to find. Spend a day here.
Don't bother with Bentota unless you want to venture inland for some rock climbing and/or other adventure sports. Drive up to Colombo for a day. Yes, you could probably fit in a lot of sights in one day - the city is tiny. Venture slightly north to Negombo where there is a lively tourist scene during season. Colombo International Airport is 15 mns away from Negombo, so this should be a good place to terminate your trip.
