Brake Fluid for all Toyota Cars

The good old OEM fluid works best instead of fancy items.

Like there is also no replacement to OEM T-IV fluid for transmission.

Expensive though?

PTT's brake fluid was really outstanding. Firstly we used it in one of our cars. It really worked excellent. We were selling it at 180 rupee per bottle while guard's brake fluid was at 150 rupees. We tried our best to convince customers to use PTT's brake oil as its best. But people who already had mind set at Guard, barely even think to change it. So when we couldn't sell, then we drop its price same as guards. But only a very few sale. Then eventually to clean the stock (of nearly 50 bottles), we reduce the price as less than guard's , but even then it was very difficult to sell.
Eventually we ended up with loss but after that we buy big stock of Guard's brake fluid. And till today, its very running item. Well come to do biz in pak.

How did you compare it with the other brand?

mobil1 ka dot 4 bhi acha hai! dot 5 and all then mercedes bmw mein dalta hai! and 1 thing more u can mix dot4 into dot3 but u cant mix dot3 into 4 sab yeh baat yaad rakna!

passenger mercedes benz, bmw etc use DOT4. The only original usage of DOT5 I have seen is military or race vehicles. You can fully convert your old car system to DOT5 but that calls to replace all rubber parts with DOT5 items too.

You can also mix DOT3 and 4 without problem.

DOT 5 is completely different as compared to DOT 3,4 and 5.1.
DOT 5 is a silicone based oil while others are polyethylene glycol based oils..... 3,4, and 5.1 can be mixed without a problem if operating temperature permits...

mostly its full flush and we advise the same too.
but yet some customers only do the top up.

I just got off the phone with a Toyota 3S here and they are saying it only comes in 250ml bottle (I guess referring to the same bottle which I already have) and costs 875 Rupees. I have already purchased one 354 ML bottle of Genuine Toyota Brake fluid from a reliable parts shop here for 450 Rupees. Another selling the same for 520 Rupees. I called them as well and they said Toyota brake fluid does not come in 1 liter bottles... Can you please tell me the part number written on the bottle so that I can look in more detail??

and HAHA, I was further told by Toyota 3S on phone that it only takes ONE bottle to flush the whole brake system, it was a parts guy who inquired from someone behind him whether my car takes the same brake fluid as the rest...

1- DOT 3 Part # 08823-80010 354 ml
2- DOT 3 Part # 08823-80010-10 354 ml

one is priced Rs 460 the other is priced Rs 760. I dont know wat is the difference between them.

For full bleed and fill requires min 1 liter brake fluid.

Thanks for the response! Strange about the added 10 there on one of the product. I think there's a typo in your post though, the DOT 3 Part no. starts with 08823.

sorry, its not 10 its 01 the complete part # of 2nd one is 00823-80010-01. I am also wondering wat is the difference

I'm going for a brake oil change/flush for my car. Pl elaborate which "feel test(s)" to be carried out before, during and after the procedure. Pl give a step by step procedure or should I just close my eyes and "feel" the brake lines for "heat" or anything unusual.

Well, zulfiqar has already explained it i think within this thread or somewhere recently. Its not v. complicated and almost applicable for all the cars.
