Brake Problem IN civic

sounds like wheel bearing problem
is the brake survey alright?

may be the problem with master cylinder..
have a check up from a good mechanic:)

yes its fine.

all of the wheels used to get locked.
so got a full brake check up.

fisrtly the mechanic changed the fliud without opening the cylinder.the problem prevailed after the test run.

the problem was in the cylinder.

after cleaning the cylinder and changin the fliud the problem was gone.

can mobil oil get mixed up with braking fliud.

the car was running fine ,no problem with the brakes no locking up.

but this problem came again after 6 months.

mobile oil in brake fluid, not possible unless deliberately done :S

I am spooked by the mechanic knowing exactly what brand of oil was there in the master cylinder or the brake system. This guy must be a genious, to be able to know what brand of oil has been mixed with regualr DOT 3 or 4 brake oil. I think there is more then has been told by the mechanic. Mobil Oil in Brake system??????

brother its 100 % cylibder prob.
i faced same problem on my corolla,the inner cylinder of master cylinder had some so=pots on it,i changed the cylinder n now they r perfect.its better to change whole cylinder rather than the kit
i bought second hand cylinder in 800 rs...(new was 2400)........but its corolla.
civic will be lill expensive ...may be 1500 for a used one
.make sure that the cylinder is smooth from in side and not a single spot on it,beaware some people just bore the cylinder and sell it again

mechnaics here use the word MOBIL oil for engine lubricant.

bro u can get master cylinder for 600 Rs from bilalganj.

the problem solved

the real problem was the rubber washers they were swollen due to wrong fluid that were creating the pressure build up.
the mechanic insisted that they should be replaced.

got a whole set for 130 rs for my civic. and 300 for the mechanic.

now a days brake quality is not good in new cars regardless wat car u buying i had similar problems with my civic 2 years ago overthere but my mechanic said that just live with it because car was just 1 month old that time.

bhai yeh aayegi issay kuch nahi hota tum naye pads daaaloo gay uskay baad bhi aaye gi.u have to live with it or try to change local pads

But got these pads few months back from honda service centre. plus this gruk gruk sound is not cumin from drums its either cumin from servo or pedal.....anyone facing similar problem?

so now stop bugging XLI brakes everybody , these honda people make things so complicated that its complication becomes a problem
