I requested for its movement to Technical Section after long discussion with my friends... the reason was that experts stay in their preferred sections and I needed their advice on forthcoming upgrades ... i.e. carputer and HD R etc ...

No chit chat every happened. Even casual conversation was always relevant to the subject.

@khokhar bhai, all of my sincerities are with u. I have a suggestion, cant Hanif bhai restore the thread (if they have back up) in member's rideagain, so the stamp of not doing chit chat is removed.

This ex-mod Aref posted that the thread was bull crap, etc. and his colleagues stood by him.

Excellent show of intellect by this gentleman who visited the thread for the first time, and called the valuable intellectual property as bull crap.

People like him cause hatred for moderators ... not all of them are bad.

Sorry for late reply, I just reached home.

Let me share (as per my knowledge) what happened with “Laadli” thread.
The thread was in Members n Rides(Casual Forums), Mods ignored all offtopic replies.
Then the topic was moved to Car Entertainment / Electronics / GPS Navigation (Technical Forums) where off topics replies are not allowed.
Autophile did his job and merged replies(did not delete any)
Later I apologized on his behalf.
Me and Sattar Bhai had a very long chat about the chit chat and all was cool.
Storm comes after a long leave and does the same, merged replies.
I get an abusive SMS from Sattar Bhai against Mods.
Storm also apologized.
At that point all was fine..
The problem started when I reached home and saw abusive “Report Abuse” against Mods by Sattar Bhai.
As per PW rules Whoever abuses Members or Mods gets Blocked, I did not block him.
When I asked Sattar Bhai to apologizes, the thread went silent.
I kept refreshing the page but no reply from him.
At about 1am(I think) I saw that Sattar Bhai is deleting all the content which he posted.
Why was the topic moved… reason was that out of 200 pages about 180 pages had “Dots” in replies.
Strom was De-moded for not reading the new rules about Laadli topic.
I de-moded aref and deleted his replies and now I just de-moded jz, I missed his replies.

I have just moved the Laadli thread back, you guys can go and check yourself.

First and the foremost, I apologize for my really harsh words in report abuse ... they came after my requests were not heeded by the mods. However, two wrongs never make one right. If the good mods felt bad, I apologize to them as well.

Please keep my thread restored. The dots will be replaced by content saved on my computer.

And please, tell the mods in unequivocal terms about our agreement. I will be responsible for the thread myself.

During my detailed discussion with Hanif Bhai, he suggested that Thread Initiators should be moderators for their own thread, They can decide what is necessary and useful.

It was very good suggestion from him but was not implemented.

The reason this suggestion was not implemented is due to technical reasons. Moderator permissions in VB system are Forum based and not Thread based. Our development team is looking into this suggestion and may decide to do custom modification to VB system, which is a laborious and time consuming task.

Since the issue raised by this thread has been resolved already, I am going to close it. Also, this thread needs to be in Site Feedback & Suggestions forum. I will move it.
