Corolla altis 1.6 weight is 1275 kg
Brv weight is 1230 kg
I have used it till Khunjarab.
I have manual variant. Pick up does not disappoint anywhere. I have used it as a type of SUV especially while leaving Hunza VIA Dasu. The high height of Brv is of a great advantage and even fully loaded , the bottom did not touch anywhere but only at one point, even though I was driving quite fast.
Still it took 10.5 hours from Chillas to reach Thakot motorway.
The driver / front seats are quite comfortable . don't know about the rear seats, but my children haven't complained. They find the seats good with good leg spacing.
Cabin noise has reduced and speakers got better because I have had damping installed inside the 4 doors . Rate was 175 per ft. total 28 ft used up.
But now the tires noise is quite isolated and you feel that it is actually the tires which are making the noise. So once again I might get the inside carpet removed and damping installed again on the floor and wheel wells.
it is a total family car and previously if 6 persons were to go anywhere, then we used 2 cars but now only one car is used so Practicality is nearly 9.5 or more.
The engine is also loud and my corolla does not make so much noise on gunning it.
it is best to travel on rough roads , but i don't know what would happen if this is done on a continuous basis, as this is not really an SUV but crossover.
Once again its practicality is great and unmatched. But suspension is not soft like corolla but hard , just like city. But once if more than 2-3 persons are sitting in it then it gets better.
By the way I have manual version and not cvt. Climbing from Naran to Babusar was easy, it did not stall anywhere and I was easily speeding in 1st gear to 40 km but on shifting to 2nd gear, the rpm would drop to nearly zero so I only drove in 1st gear
