Build Fake Dodge Viper on bettle frame

I would like to import Dodge Viper body and will pay custom duty for the same. I have expertise here in Pakistan to fit this body on bettle frame. The thing that i would like to discuss all of experts here, can i execute my plan (As i mentioned that i will pay custom duty for the body)??? Is there is any legal/ custom office restriction for the same???

Yes it will be legal but you'll have to pay custom for the body afterwards when your car is ready

it can be done but there are a few hurdles. firstly the wheelbases are very different, secondly the VW beetle is Rear engined (flat 4) whereas the viper has a front engine (V10). i think building a viper on a beetle frame is insane, you're much better off building it on a cresida or some other (cheapish) large RWD vehicle so there is less modification required.

personally i think you are better off getting a fibreglass body made here in PK, it'l be cheaper and you can have it built to your specs. also i'd suggest you dump the VW idea and build it on a larger donor car with a front engine/rear drive setup.

@pak786 can you tell if hilux surf 1996 body can be put on hilux double cabin 1996.will it be legal and what is the procedure of legalizing it you mentioned above some thing of paying custom for the body please elaborate it .I will be grateful to you .

well poster how about finding an old merc n doing this thing instead of a beetle which,as storm said,is rear engined!

ive seen the replica kits but its done on old school chevys n pontiacs
if you wanna build something on a vw frame then go for the Lamborghini countach

do it with a crown,cressida or some other big car's frame,bettles frame wud b small for wt ur planning

my google isnt working or i could compare the dimensions of the viper

but i think that u can use some toyota crown chassis
dont ever think of a mercedes chassis or ud die during the modifications

my personal opinion would be that u use a chevrolet caprice chassis thats quite cheap and available as well, and i think low mods would be needed then

man first both cars have a big difference in wheel base and VW is a rear engine car
if u want to do it first get the dimensions of viper and search any old toyota from the 70's which matches it then import it and well import the V10 as well i hate it if u do it with a jz series

This looks really insane bcause firstly as said by @storm VW Bettle has a smaller body and its engine is located at the back being a RWD, Dodge Viper has an engine in the front. Keeping in mind Viper has a longer body from the front.

Thanx to all of you for valuable comments... This is right that i can choose any old vehicle body frame for the same but the main point is, Custom office/ Gov. of Pak allow to do this kind of project....

Suppose if would import Viper Body of Rs 250000 then what would be the Custom and other taxes on it to see the same here in Pakistan.
