Margalla wae an amazing car, still is, especially for the price tag it's available for. This one's a 94 and I'm sticking with the pre-facelift dashboard, already swapped in a facelift dashboard in my MK1 swift, so keeping this one the way it is. Will be making some decent changes to the dasboard for a modern feel.

About the udpates on Swift, I'll be updating the thread in a few days. My denter's father is critical, so I'm not disturbing him much these days

I'm definitely replacing the floor pans, the undercarriage rust will be treated once they pull out the front suspension to work on it.

RUSTY AND DUSTY

Started working on the left rear quarter panel, you'll be amazed by the amount of putty that was literally GRINDED OFF this panel

This was the result after 5 applications of the paint remover.

Since it wasn't working much, we decided to go with directly grinding it off

Off the car's body and landed on my body

Applied some paint remover again after we started seeing the metal

Thankfully, there wasn't much bondo over the pillars so we got rid of the paint quickly, took two coats of the paint remover and it did the job

It took them 7 hours to strip the entire piece and make it putty free. The amount of bondo over this panel was insane.

Are you taking off the windscreens?

Yes, will be taking off the windshields for further inspection and treat any rust in that area.

Since the car was stripped and the bare metal was open to catch any rust, we coated the car with betel quid a.k.a GUTKA to save the metal from any kind of oxidation that'll result in catching more rust to the surface.
P.S: I doubt that the labour isn't licking up the body

Applying GUTKA will also help with inspecting the doors for any further dings since locating smaller dings on bare metal is hard due to the reflective properties of the surface

Since the trunk lid is LUCKILY PUTTY FREE, I'm not going to get it stripped, we'll just sand it down and paint it up after taking out the dents.

How have u handled the holes and the rusty parts. did u welded them closed or used fibreglass putty?

waisey few days back i had a complete genuine margalla carpet lying with me which i gave to my mechanic for free.......
