Correction: the 7G Civic has a low center of gravity then the 6th Gen one
Can you kindly back this claim up with some reference?

Because this is all I was able to find on wikipedia.

However, they have succumbed to added weight, and higher centers of gravity which has significantly reduced their appeal amongst passionate drivers. yes @faisal when car runs on cng .it tappets need to adjusted aftr 20k km so some time tick tick sound u will often hear from many cng cars expecially 1300cc above so nthng serious about it ...

@mulpak i respect ur opinion but majority is authority ..u should know wht i mean after a long time i have seen first man who hav so much negative opinion bout this model anyways ..If u talking bout built quality ok see 1.8 reborn.. see its quality ... m just telling tht built quality of 2001+ models are all the same ... and they r not tht bad in built quality tht what u think... thirdly every car has some negtive and positive points in this world .. so one should accept the reality Peace !!

i dont know about others but if there r 2 civic one 2000 and other 2005 both brand new i will go(run) for 2000 with my eyes closed even tho i own one dam i love this model even after driving it for 7 years .or ager kali ho to kia hi bat hai

@F1,... and what about the sligh engine gush, which you can feel sitting inside all doors closed with mirrors up, while car is parked engine running. As the engines of VTi/EXIs should be quite smooth (as I observed in another car having 60k mileage, but was having body issues)

Sir I have both the 96 VTI A/T and a 05 PROSMATEC, both 1st owner, both Honda South maintained, both less then 100K km driven.

The only difference is that PROSMATEC is on CNG.

I have driven both the cars at a 360 degree flyover at their limits many times, the VTI tops at 60km/hr while the PROSMATEC crosses 75km/hr.

PROSMATEC has Pirelli P6000, VTI has Michelin Energy XM1+, but the PROSMATEC also has less power (on paper, at least).

I know Honda engineers can better Wikipedia.

The old 6th gen Civic was a perfect example that double wishbone alone cannot make a perfect suspensions.

Someone who has driven the nearly 2 decades old E30 or even a Peugeot 306 can verify that.

Civics do get better each time.

The 7th gen has better, more efficient, powerful and environment friendly engines, the interior and boot space was much more and the car was aerodynamically rock stable.

OK, so it is your personal opinion. I think personal opinions should always be accompanied by ''I think" or ''In my opinion" rather than stated as official statements such as "No, 7th gen HAS lower center of gravity. Period.". But that's just my personal opinion.

Moreover, your whole last message addressed to suspensions and how double wishbones are a flop, with a spice of impressive 2 decade old Peugeots, which unfortunately aren't even what I asked.

All I asked was if you had any official reference to back up your claim of 7th gen having lower center of gravity than the 6th gen. And it turns out that the only reference we have is you not being able to go faster than 60km per hour on some 360 flyover, in short your personal opinion which is as good as mine or anyone else's, which even if it is true, isn't enough to say anything about 7th gen having lower center of gravity.

I love 7th gen, all I wanted was to clear out an ambiguous claim which remains ambiguous because you've stated what you ''feel'', rather than any references.
