Normally first owner cars with excellent physical conditions are good choice. Mostly issues arise from from suspension, ac etc instead of engine since engine, if just maintained with proper oil and coolant lasts a lifetime. Very few people can blow an engine in 4 years but then body condition talks the same

Grande has a CVTi transmission - not a conventional automatic, I’d make sure the CVT fluid is timely changed otherwise it’s a big NO.

What is your take on this argument why not to get latest model of gli auto with new facelift shape instead of buying grande with older model and shape.

If i take the option of buying new yaris .1.3 Cvt . Booking 2683 plus 50k tax plus rego plus others .. all it counts to 28 lac ..
Then still i can buy a better grande in 28 lac although i have to raise my budget in any case.

Yaris any variant is no match to any 17/18/19 Corolla.

Yaris breed is for Honda City category.

Now coming to used Grande and Gli. Keep in mind 12th gen Corolla will be in showrooms in 9months and you will be loosing more money on resale for Grande and less or no money on Gli.

yaris would be a better option as compared to xli and gli. its a foolish thought considering resale value. you are not buying a car for a business point of view. buy a car which give you comfort and piece of mind if you have to drive it for like a 1000km in one shot. buy a car which never let you get bored or tired during your ride. forget about resale value. go for a comfort and luxury as you are spending a hard earned money.

a second thought. look around for Suzuki Ciaz manual. its a CBU from thailand with latest K series engine. economy of around 16++ local and around 19-20 on long route. it will not provide you with interior luxuries but a charm to drive.

Sir g no ciaz can give 16 in city..its k series but k10. Anyways resale is always a factor for middle class people like is who buy car the harder way. Yaris is a better option for sure and i agree

So i am more willing to put my money on Grande model 2016 or 2017 . Will try to get a good deal .
Yes i want to get a car for my own use and family use.
Yaris is also a good option but still i am thinking . Yaris vs Grande ..no match and then again yaris will cost me 28 lac to be on road . . ..........
