I will let you know more details on this once the owner is back. He went from Mansehra with full charge. He said he easily reached Naran with 40% or 60% battery left (can't remember now). Right now he has crossed Batakundi. I am not sure how far he's planning to go. The return journey won't consume any energy due to regen on downhills. In fact, it will increase the SoC.

One owner frequently travel from Islamabad to Nathyagali in single charge. Return journey slightly increase the SoC or in worst case negligible energy is consumed. Easily doable. I am also planning to go after monsoon season ends.

BTW the owner who went to Naran (actually Batakundi) is back in Mansehra and he still have 40% charge left.

Yes I know the onwer. His home is in Mansehra but works in Islamabad. He frequently travels back n forth between Islamabad-Mansehra.

He previously travelled to Shogran with family. Today he did a test run just to check how far he can go. The car was not loaded with luggage. He went with his friend.

He has a hotel in Balakot where he's installing 7 kW charger for customers who plan to stay at his hotel. He is in talks with multiple hotel owners in Naran. InshAllah we will have charging options in Naran next year. Thanks to.his efforts.

Mansehra to batakundi is 272km round trip.
Seems like a very good figure with 40% charge left . Braking and slow driving probably helped.

Sorry, I just rechecked, the remaining SoC is 29%. The total distance covered is 284.8 km according to the trip meter.

That means ideally it would have given 411km till 0% charge depletion based on that figure.

more realistic 370-380km.

Few important points to note here.

The weather was cold, hence AC was not used.
Only 2 adults were traveling.

The range numbers could change if AC is used and the vehicle is fully loaded with passengers and luggage.

I think it should do close to that. We will know more once that owner goes again with family. He did a test run with a friend just to see how far he can go starting from Mansehra.
According to him, if he do a full charge from Balakot, he can reach babusar top. He plans to do a 2nd test run once he installs a charger in his hotel in Balakot.

Benefit of EVs during rainy season. It kept going in Karachi deep water where ICE cars hydrolocked. Multiple owners from Karachi shared such videos yesterday and Alhamdulilah everyone reached home safe and sound.

Someone hit and ran my BYD in the parking area. Weird part was the parking space was empty, even then someone managed to hit the vehicle. Based on the initial inspection from BYD, it was a speeding car that went from right to left.
May Allah give guidance to all of us.

Bumper is totaled and trunk got damaged. The parking sensors and radar behind the rear-left side of the bumper looks physically safe, but only time will tell if they are functional once I give it for repair. I have planned to replace the bumper but get the trunk repaired. My vehicle has PPF hence the paint on the trunk is saved. BYD service center offer PDR services, but they were saying it's not possible in this case, unfortunately. Don't know what's behind the damaged area. The repair will be traditional denting painting.

This is the quotation I got from the service center. All 3 parts mentioned in the quotation are available in Karachi, and they will reach Islamabad service center on coming Monday.

The price of radar is not mentioned in the quotation. Its price is 50,000, and it will be added if it's not functional.
I asked for the price of the trunk if I would like to replace. They quoted 282,100. Didn't ask anything further because denting/painting is 16,000 only.
