CAM Shaft Position Sensor Error P0340

Guys My Car was taking long self to get started and Suddenly i got Check Engine Light, Upon Scanning i found this Error CAM Shaft, please suggest Next Step for this to Resolve. Should i Clean it or put the new Another Sensor in it ? Corolla 2012 2nzfe Engine

Remove the sensor and see if its dirty, sometimes metal particles/gunk sticks on the sensor causing errors which can be resolved with just a gentke wipe with cloth. Is it two wire type or 3 wire?

Bro i am not sure if its 2 or 3 Wite its Corolla, never took out that Sensor, i can do like this, i can take out Clean it and put it back then. and see if its solve the issue. if not then will replace the Sensor. last month my CRANKSHAFT Sensor was also Failed and i changed that too.

Yes, first clean it, also check the wiring.

I just cleaned and install it again nothing happened, the Wiring is okay , Sensor was dirty i cleaned it but its showing same Check Engine light and Error, will Replace the Sensor now

dont clean it with solvents - just wipe it with cloth, never clean it with sandpaper either.

If its not resolving the issue, replace with good known sensor and retest.

Yes brother, i cleaned it with Soft Cloth and then put it Again but nothing happened, its not working fine, the Light is there and Delay in Starting long Selfing.

I will replace this Sensor tomorrow.

Any idea why these Sensor Fails ? its 2012 Model, its been 8 year and in 8 years do every car Sensors start Failing? or is it Something bad with Crank and CAM shaft ? means Ager andar koi cheez kharab hoto wo kya Sensor b kharab kardeti hain kch time me ? please suggest and clear my this understanding.

These sensors have a finite life, No hard and fast rule to their service life.

But I can guarantee that the usual failure in Pakistan is “sarviss teyshun champi paalish job”

Where they blow high pressure cold water on hot engines.

Agreed, Maybe they can die in 2 3 4 years or can die in 15 years. no Reliablity on there service life

People simply don't use degreasers. They don't even know about them. Lack of knowledge leads towards disaster.

They know of degreasers already, its called soap/sabun

Industrial soaps are sold by bucket load in karachi and are super concentrated too, 50 ml per 1000 ml mixing ratio, works fantastic

Problem is that average person in Pakistan wants any and everything under rs10/- from parchoon di hatti

bro something happened today.when I start the car in morning the check engine light gone. its not coming. last night i clean the sensor and put it again but engine light was there but today morning the engine light vanished so it means the sensor is working fine. and i clean the pvc valve too today.
