Yesterday, I went around some show rooms in Peshawar but couldn't find good merc,

peshwar prices are sky high
even non optional mark x are selling at 30 lacs
go to jail road lahore for gud prices cars

Volverine: you are 100% right, the prices are extremely high in Peshawar, there was Merc E class, 2003, the price was 4,600 K. I am planning to visit Islamabad and if couldn't find there then I will visit Lahore.
I think I should not even think about Camry anymore after receiving some fruitful advices from PW members.

my frend bought e200 2006 model fresh imort for 40 lacs in blue colour
so considered the prices then buy
i will suggest u go for mark x becoz of cheap maintenance
and excellent consumption better than GLI 1.3

black colour is v hard to keep specially in peshwar u can buy full option 250G at 32-35 depending upon condition
and full option 300G mark x can u find in bw 35-38 in mint condition
i will suggest u to buy 250G s pakage

what a stupid hilarious ignorant comparison,,,huh.......there is no match between a world class and third class.

merc is a merc, toyota is a ****.......but if youre one of those typical paki mentality people who go for cheaper crap parts (if they last few weeks even) then go for toyota. But if you were a sensible person you shouldnt have been comparing a merc with a crappy toyota. (even a camry is a crap infront of any merc)...... I have kept merc, bmw, volvo, audi, I never had any issue with parts or fuel consumption, it has always been excellent choice.

I would advise you to go for Merc Bmw Audi or Volvo (if its available in Pakistan) that make sense to spend 3.5 mil pkr on one of these than to go for crappy camry which aint gonna give you no ride no comfort no safety .... but i know choice is yours ( camry :P)

Brother u should also look for CL9 with sunroof and leather package. mercedese C180 is much better then camry but parts and maintenance is expensive.

I think camry is a good car but i doubt its built quality can be compared to a Merc.

If I were you, I would go for E-Class if you prefer more luxary ride or
go for a BMW 5 series if you like to enjoy driving luxary with bit of fun!

merc in all aspects. read Xulfiqar's detailed reply again. It can take the road like no other. every new car is expensive to maintain these days. if u have a fully maintained merc, it wont take u to workshops again and again.

3500k is good enuff to get the recent shape c class.

Mark X is also a good buy.

Or wait a little while invest in GOLD till BMW is launched in 2013 you can get brand new BMW with warranty while Gold will appreciate and your money value will not depreciate.

OR LC100 Diesel

OR CL9 2004/5/6 and save the rest of cash.

On a serious note, I am also been thinking for the past week "which car to buy C-180 or Camry".

My considerations are;

• Low milage (under 30,000kms)
• Produced for hot climate.
• Regular import
• Spare part availability

• Option to switch 3S dealers
• Reliable, Economical to run & maintain

Most of C-180's are imported from UK or Japan, which are not suitable for hot climate. This is very important factor no matter what people say. Moreover, majority of the cars being imported are base models used as fleet cars having high milages. Comparing the prices of cars in UK and Pakistan validates the above fact.

Practically speaking Its easier to buy a MB but pretty expensive to maintain, Shahnawaz being the only 3S in Pakistan dictates the maintenance cost.

On the other hand Camry is simply a Toyota, stretched Corolla as some friends put it. Fully loaded with lesser electronics, & sensors. Imported by Indus Motors, suitable for hot climate with option of switching dealership.

Given the above, where will you put your hard earned money.
