Many points in the original post which I do not agree to,
Taxes should be paid, thats for sure but things like JDM junk, infact local cars are junk. Even compare them with India and you will find out the difference. Besides, the only thing that I got imported out of what you mentioned is pet food, never heard brands names of others you have mentioned.

Similarly regarding electricity, I was a little kid and Jaidi was a popular comedian and poet at that time and since then I am hearing this nonsens "Bijli Bachayee, apney liye kom key liye" and now new thing is added to this savings list and that is Sui Gas. The judiciary is able to get away with it because Imran Khan is lenient and has given NRO to these crooks despite how much he screams no NRO to create plausible deniability. Why can't NAB provide any proofs inside the courts when they've proofs after proofs for the media. Take the recent example of Aleem Khan.

This really isn't rocket science. When there's a will, there's a way and Imran Khan clearly lacks the will.

So he has economic hurdles but why hasn't he bothered with reforming a single institution in 9 months? Lack of majority? Fine. What about KPK? He has absolute majority there and not a single reform done.

Imran Khan can't dish out punishments against criminals because he's compromised. The biggest beneficiaries of corruption are JKT, PPP lotas and PTI ministers themselves. Pervaiz Khattack.

People give way too much power to the judiciary and make the state some useless thing but they've to, to justify the inaction of Imran Khan. Nawaz Sharif showed how powerful judiciary really is when he stormed the judiciary.

You are ommitting the biggest players of the system which is causing this drain - which are the bureaucracy. The person at top cannot initiate, commit and execute and order as one man show.

The notion of
local = sastaa and ghareeb
imported = mehenga and ameer

People will always want to buy the imported item because they think its amazing. The reality is the opposite.

e.g. I meet Pakistanis in USA who literally say that Pakistani mangoes are not worth buying even in Pakistan. Its the epic story of facepalm - (global facepalm), usually these same people have their language littered with words

A friend once said to me that his Toyota Aqua is a "luxury" car. its the same mentality plaguing the nation that everything imported has come from the heavens and is outclass. stop using your dollars to buy third class crap from abroad.

In the last 5 years i have noticed local markets flooded with imported shampoos and toothpaste for no reason even though we have local alternatives.

Pakistani Exports are $24 billion and imports are around $60 billion which boggles the mind.
