Can we drive with American license in Pakistan?

Whenever you go abroad, try to get International Driving Permit, in some european countries you can drive on your local driving license for upto a period of one year. There is no clear law in Pakistan for driving vehicle on overseas licenses but as a fair and general rule, if your country of residence allows pakistani nationals to drive on a visit visa, you will have same rights here.

Best option is international driving permit though.

you can drive easily and traffic police asked about licence show them and police-man will salute you (try 100 % confirm).

I have driven with US license and the guy who checked it, accepted it.
So I feel this is more on the person checking it. He is the the
authority at that moment. But it should be documented somewhere so that
we can use that official statement in our favor if its allowed.
