Yes u can dilute with distilled water. Toyota/Honda oem coolants come pre diluted and don't need any water addition.

Water has a lower boiling point...plus it can freeze..( rare in Pakistan) but since water can freeze and boil earlier, its best to use oem grade high quality coolant

This is not coolant, and its premixed at 30% only, adding this to water will further reduce it. And its absolute trash

Buy caltex coolant and then mix with water to 50%, its sold as concentrate only.

Good but expensive as its already mix with water. Buy coolant which is concentrated so you dont waste money.

Can some body shed light on Type 1, Type 2 Type 3 coolants used and recommended by different automobile OEMs....

Is it related / referred to engine internals metallurgy and water pump / some other rubber / silicon type O-rings etc with which wrong coolant type reacts and damages them?...

OEM focuses on coolant types strictly..... correct me if i am wrong plz??

I think first of all we have to see the car make model year and primarily we have to see its OEM recommendations....

Wrong coolant type can damage the engine prematurely same like treating it without coolant with raw or distilled water.

Use a premixed coolant recommended by the manufacturer, that way you don’t have to worry about anything.

Simple, check your Owner manual book for the specific Type --? and cross match it with the after market available Coolant and pour it in....... no rocket science..... If you have a PKDM than its further easy to use Honda , Toyota, Suzuki Coolant but don't forget to match the Type.....

In case of PKDMs now a days, pre mix coolants are available.... For the old cars i still remember in late 80s early 90s the owner manual books of cars mentions to use a coolant to be mixed with water with the following ratios generally:

1. 70:30 means 2/3 water and 1/3 coolant for non AC vehicles.
2. 50:50 means 1/2 water and 1/2 coolant for AC equipped cars.

At that time Japanese Coolant tin packs 250 or 300 ml concentrated were available.

The total capacity of radiator can be verified from the O & M manual....

Caltex is no more.readily available now here. Plus to mix we need distilled water.. another thing not readily available. Normal.tap water had tds over 500..

If you cannot find distilled then RO water can be used too. Its pretty low cost.

Caltex coolant is available at any caltex jobber. In my opinion premix coolants are only good for 2 jobs

1 topping up a liter only
2 for people who cannot mix two liquids (read as not smart)

Come to think of it. That aisin bottle you see, half of it is nothing but plain water which you can get easily yourself, so why pay for imported japani water.

RO water is available from bottlers. If you cannot find one, ags sells distilled water by the liter and gallon too.

Myself, I had a vendor who supplied me distilled water in 20 litre cans in Karachi, in USA I use RO water which i get for 1.5 dollars for 5 gallons

Those 30% ready mix 500 ml coolant tin packs were fake back then and still are fake today, real japanese coolant was sieken branded (same as brake fluid brand) and sold in either 500 ml can or 4 litre cans, and were concentrated.

It was the oldschool coolant you found in toyota and nissan back in the day.

@Xulfiqar , My PKDM Swift has green color coolant, it decrease coolant water from reservoir from FULL to LOW Level in 3-4week time also running is 100km daily.

For Top-up, Aisin wasn't available , I added LLC tin pack as above for top-up.

Do you advise changing whole coolant? and further I believe Caltex Coolant comes in orange color and not green .. is that ok if I get it all flushed and fill up with Caltex (Orange and not Green) Coolant Concentrated with Distilled water at 50/50 ratio.?

If suzuki is using regular IAT green stuff - just grab a bottle of ZIC coolant and add that. Otherwise you can buy the coolant from suzuki too.
