Update on the slippy belt.

I pulled off AC belt washed it with lemon Maxx and washed the pully also made sure its degreassed. Installed back belt and tight it pretty firm.

Now the thing is when i switch on the AC the clutch it doesn't engages immediately but after 4-6 secs. I don't see or hear slipping belt by the way. The clutch donot engage or disengage it just engages and runs.

Side Note: i by the way serviced the battery by taking it off the car after doing AC belt work.

Why is it taking 4-6 sec to engage the clutch every time it is diengaged?

but the first thing first i need alot more learning on a/c and after that i can fix any kind of a/c thats worth the effort.

i want to know how these a/c mechanics work on a/c? when they dont follow proper procedure.

For vaccum pump. Do you think old fridge compressors can do the job? They are pretty cheap almost 2000 from scrap yard.

I don't think those compressors can pull a deep vacuum - the micron level vacuum needed to remove moisture beyond the -29psi mark. Ideally I'd want to buy a two-stage rotary vane vacuum pump with a few other bells n whistles.

Ever wondered why fridge/freezer compressors have a ~3min delay? I think its that safety feature. But the pros would know better...

The man who has many home and AC car parts and had many mechs/AC techs/customers buying from him told me price of dryer 200rs. Is that any good? The same man had a mech come to him to buy a condenser for my model corolla (indus corolla) for 3000rs - he also had two types of TXVs too, denso and an unnamed one. In short - he had lots of stuff and was selling lots of stuff.

It Will Not Work As Good As Dedicated Vacuum Pump Will....Still It Will Work But Need More Operating Time Then Dedicated Vacuum Pump .....

Make Sure to Get One With Good Suction On Vacuum Side

Trust Me If You Get To Know It And Do Some Reading Homework And Understand....You Will Work 100 Times Better Than Those

What They Do Is All On HIT And CHECK Method Or Do It Extra Carefully Means LOW System Charge.....Not By Weight/ Not By PT Chart....No Ambient No0thing No Superheat....Nothing Which Makes U Think They Are Charging A/C

Can Is Available....YES That Is Can Charging Valve.....You Will Not Get Gauge Wth It But A Simple Valve.....No Need Of Gauge As Your Manifold Gauge Set Is There

You Will Get ND-8 Oil Not 9....9 Seems To Be Old Enough But I Guess 8 Works On ND-9 Type Compressors Too ?? @xulfiqar

From what I read, viscosities of ND-8 & ND-9 are vastly different. One is PAG 46 while other is PAG 100 (or 150 as one oil manufacturer put it).

A fridge compressor is not good enough but much better than not vacuuming at all.

You have to go below 500 micron to boil off all the moisture in lines and a fridge compressor is too weak. You need a 2 stage 3 to 5 CFM vacuum pump for that.

A proper work around if you don't have a 2-stage 5cfm vacuum pump is to nitrogen flush the lines, While nitrogen is in the system, pull a vacuum and then on that vacuum fill the gas.

A 3 to 5 CFM Robinair pump is costing around 30-40-60 thousand from local dealer last time I checked.

On Olx a 5 cfm pump is listed for PKR 60,000

I am not contradicting you, just asking for help. I would love to invest and buy a 5 cfm pump. Last year I got my split installed with Nitrogen cycling and vacuuming, it was a very tough job and I literally had to beg that guy to come at my home and do the job, he only did factories and offices and that's why he had all proper equipment, he was not interested in my 1 install job so I had to really convince and do it. I would love to buy it my self as I plan to install more ACs at home and also re-install the one that is not installed the proper way.

means blindly charging a/c = low performance, and if they overcharge there is a risk of compressor get faulty, lines get leaked.

bro we can make a cooperative society where the guys who brought the equipment and are in the same city, can share their knowledge and equipment, obviously they are not using it all the times, what do you say?
