It is called black death. Toyotas with compressor 10P/10PA use ND-8 or PAG46 oil where as TV series use ND-9 or PAG 100 compressor oil. His system had OEM oil and when he got it re done they probably put wrong oil. Now this is very common, oil is oil rite , Wrong. they are different. Secondly for each component replacement you need to add certain ammount of oil in there. now you need to flush you entire system of this black death and use specified oil

Got this from grocery store and he said it's dead....I said I'll try to put juice in it and it is alive.

Secondly if my system requires flush how do I flush compressor? Refill and drain?

acetone is best cleaning agent here (be careful its deadly, also wear gloves while handling it as it can kill your liver too if you absorb too much of it through your skin)

anyway - to clean the compressor, flush it with AC oil a few times till you see clean stuff in it.

I saw two compressor at junk yard mounted to engine one was denso and other was kinhin something. Now both were with k20. When I rotated them I felt too much difference in pressures at same rotation speed and other. Denso was little hard to rotate. Other was easy. Tested few others to make sure first one was not faulty. Which proved denso were little more drag than other company ones.Someon said there one is piston based and other is rotatory. What is the difference if it is true. If I have to change which one do you suggest. People say only fenso makes cooling at low rpm not other.

Do you think acetone is freely available without any permit

umm you live in Pakistan, everything (except liquor) is available without permit. Guns included.

About compressor? What is the difference and which is better for performance. Rite now i have scroll type compressor installed called HS110R Keihin. I plan on changing with Nippondenso 10P

My ac compressor in 98 corolla aka 5 piston type 15no is making initial noise for like 2 years and 15no comes in denso and same design came in kia as well this compressor is from spectra i guess. I am thinking of getting denso one. Though this one is noisy and puts little load but chills amazingly.

Mine is parallel flow. I have read some research papers too. Scroll types are later technology than Reciprocating compressor ones. Scroll types were built for continuous running and other was not. But studies have shown that on lower rpms Reciprocating compressor works better than scroll type.

Its not denso some korean company. I will try take a pic of label. Mechanic says its a same thing but someone i kno installed denso piston one his car was chilling more and no noticeable load on engine. Mine i can clearly feel when it engaged when disengaged

Mene dekha aj bhai gas fill krne k lye ek he port the suction line pe. There was no place to hook High side gauge

@xulfiqar this is the compressor. Should i ignore the slight noise it make especially at startup or plan for replacement.

I went to mechanic last night to show him the sound that was coming from compressor area. First the sound was not coming at all when i turned on the AC. So i kept it on for a while and cycled it to ON and OFF and we waited for couple minutes and then it started coming. He poured water over the belts and the sound went away!

This is weird because when i squirted water from my spray bottle it did not go away. Kher his conclusion was to change belts and that compressor is fine.

Btw my car has clocked 113k kms he recommended me to change the timing belt because neglecting it might cause major damage to engine

Pully and tensioner both look fine. Few months ago I had to get some refrigent refilled and went to a guy known for good work he filled in Gas and when the compressor engaged he was like oh its making noise he suggested I should have opted for Sanden compressor and we can change this into that than when he looked at guages (Low side was near 30 on idle RPM)and he said well to be honest this one is working very nicely and other than a bit noise no issues. :p. I just feel its put load on engine (My Engine is 7AFE 1800CC) though cools fine infact If i compare with a brand new corolla in Office my AC Kicks in and cools way faster.
