is there any way to wet sand the paint with a fine grit and then polishing it to shine,,partically on a car thats 5 to 10 years old??

yes there is, it makes use of 2000 or 2500 grit sand paper i think, search for the threads of @istafa111 and in his thread of city project new paint is grinded down for polshing purpose, just goto there and you will have a better idea

i was asking cz my civic had its door paintd 2 3 years bk from honda but there are lyk drops of lacquer visible at some places which kill the shine and the reflection...i can clearly tell that those are the dried up drools of lacquer...so a compuond will be able to remove dose or not?

^i wetsanded a nissan once, it was around 17 years old, well the 2500 grit paper feels like its not abrasive at all when u run ur finger on it but when you sand it with water it looks like you see some dense powderish thing coming of the paint job, rub it too much and you may kill the clear coat, so its certainly not good for old cars. the best is to get it compounded with a rotary buffer with the weakest compound. hand sanding isnt good

simple answer is no, compound will not take them off like you need to, what you will be seeing is that there are two layers on your door panel but both are most probably shiny but at borders it kills the look, just like water on floor tiles

Are u sure that it was you who sanded the B13? :S And on the last page I see that you are suggesting @mahmood, to wash the engine bay with PETROL?
Yar itne kuch sikhne baad b ye bongi maar rahay ho? Don't you know that Petrol eats away all sorts of rubber bushings and some kinds of wire insulations?
Suggesting Pre-Soak was the accurate bit, but do u even know how to properly use it? What's the percentage of the solution required to do a certain task?
And if I can recall properly, YOU deemed Pre-Soak as causing plastic to become brittle. So don't you think tht it will also eat away the insulation?

how do you take down grease from engine that have deposited for over like 10 years??? what to use and how to use a complete step by step procedure is required no need to do anything else let all plastic in engine bay dull only wanna see the D series in its totality

you just need 1 liter petrol in a plastic bottle with a tiny hole on its cap,a toothbrush and some Vim mixed with water in shower and some pieces of cloth.And alot of stamina.

Step by Step procedure:
Throw water on engine with pressure.
Dry it using cloth.
Throw petrol on greased parts.
Start rubbing with toothbrush(also throw petrol while doing this)
Tie a piece of cloth on your fingers of your hand and again start rubbing.
Shower vim mixture.
Wash engine bay with water.
Dry it using a clean cloth.
Now if you want to make it Lush Push apply some polish on body parts and Luster on Plastic.
you are done.

Note:Be careful with wiring,Rub gently,Try to cover distributer with a plastic bag.!

rather than using petrol and all its better use an engine degreaser if u want a dada kissam degreaser use STP ka OOMPH! its for 500-550rs! its a general degreaser u can even use it around the house but trust me its damn damn good! it just pierces thru the grease no matter how dheeth the chiknahat! doesnt matter 10 yrs porani chinahat ya 10 days porani!

my main point is that i dont wanna do rubbing shubbing, will be happy applying 2-3 coats of it wont be a masla for me but it has to do work for me after this statement how do you rate STP ??????????

yar to b honest usually iv found stp products to be very ghatteeya but yeh cheez yeh toh kuch aur hee cheez hai! i mean it does everything for u u dont need any rubbing no scrubbing no nothing just spray it on leave it on for a few mins and wash it off!

engine mein itna grease jamawa nai hota jitna kitchen keh chulay k peechay jamawa hota hai! god knows kitne saal ka tail jawama tha on the wall and on the floor bas spray kiya let it stay for a few mins and scrubbed it off it came off like butter! ya warna woh manhoos kidar utar raha tha!

for kitchen grease dish wash bar is only solution, and what about a lemon max ki aik tikia dissolved in hot hot hot water onto engine block and transmission and few other parts where possible

Fellas .. FELLAS! Back on topic please? No one's answered what I asked in the first post. I need locations where I can get my car properly buffed and waxed.

Also, what about those wax coats with 3 year shine warranties ..?
