I've mentioned what a cleaner wax is and what a pure wax is. Read my comments above carefully.
There are 2 types of waxes. Carnauba and Synthatic. Carnauba waxes either come as PURE CARNAUBA WAXES or as CLEANER WAXES.
Pure Carnauba Waxes usually dont have any cleaning abilities. They usually contain 30,40,50 and upto 70 percent of carnauba ( Even the ones that say 100% dont have 100% carnauba since carnauba is a hard substance and working with 100% carnauba will make the wax useless). These waxes dont have polishing abilities.
Cleaner Carnauba Waxes have carnauba as the main ingredient but also have cleaners added to it. Read what a cleaner wax does above in my previous comment. It acts as a polish + wax.
Synthetic Waxes are man made waxes. these use polymers that bond together and act as a protectant on the paint surface. These do exactly what carnauba waxes do, only better. They are easier to apply, they last a lot longer and they dont come off the paint surface easily. However, the only reason why carnauba waxes are still going strong is due to their better deep wet glossy look. This is why people with dark colors prefer carnauba.
DC trim protectant is a similar product like the one you have, Formula1's trim protectant. Only its manufactured by Detailing Crew, which is a Pakistani detailing crew company based in Lahore. They also have their own Synthetic wax and shampoo. The trim protectant can be used on the trims of your car to protect it from the sun and fading out.
A polish is an abrasive substance that is used before waxing to remove light swirls and scratches in a cars paint. It is used so that the surface of the paint is free from any imperfections so that the wax will bond properly to the paint surface. It also help to remove minor contaminants stuck on the paint but there is a whole other process for that called claying.
